Rainy April Day

Susan came over to weed the front garden area near my front porch. Always looks so much nicer when she does her magic. She had to quit once it started to rain hard.

I woke up thinking I needed to rearrange a couple areas where I sit frequently to get on line and to sew.  Like it better now.

I sewed strips for over an hour and may go back and do some more this afternoon.  Should go quicker now that I've sewn the first row.

Been fighting a bit of a headache off and on. Half wonder if it's dust from the material I'm sewing.  Been watching a little of this and a little of that on Netflix. Mostly old movies. Tried watching some British and Australian shows but sometimes the accents are so pronounced, you can barely figure out what they're saying.  I've got "Three Coins in a Fountain" playing now.

Tomorrow I may try to get a few carpet areas shampooed. Will depend on the energy level.  I seemed to wake up several times last night and that usually means a really tired day once I get up.

I've been wondering if my house is in kind of a "dead zone" area for telephone coverage.  Jenni tried calling me from her house (on her house phone) and she got a loud static.  Linda P in Hadlock had the same problem when she tried calling me on her house phone.  And sometimes, my calls just plain drop when I call someone.  Twice today I had to unhook my WIFI and cable box and reboot them because I had no Internet coverage.  I had TV but not computer.  Seems to be happening a little more frequently.  As I recall, it used to happen when I had my laptop at the kitchen table too. I wonder if that makes a difference at all?  I'll never really understand the whole concept of WIFI coverage, cell phone mishaps, and rebooting needs.

Made a big kettle of bean soup with a ham hock today and man, was it ever delicious. I put some in the freezer and have a large bowl left in the fridge too.  Imagine I'll be paying for eating those beans tomorrow but I'll deal with it tomorrow. Ha!
