I never thought I'd say this but I think I have too much material. I've spent the morning sorting by color and size (you can never get caught up on that) and I have GOT to start working a little faster at making simple quilts out of plain ole squares. Which I like to do as it's relaxing and doesn't require much thinking.
For the next couple days I'm probably going to press, cut, and file quilt squares just to get a handle on things. I still have a couple bins or more of little odds and ends that will be used in "crumb" quilt squares. Time consuming but fun. A couple days ago I got this book in the mail on using up scrap pieces and I've got to STOP that impulse ordering online. It's a nice book and all but I DID NOT NEED IT! Shame on me!
I keep rearranging my sewing room now and then (just little stuff) but I'm trying to utilize all the space in the best way. I've got two small tvs in there. One has a roku device plugged in so I can watch a ton of things like Netflix and other channels I get including radio stations. The other tv has a built-in VCR so I'm forever on the lookout for old VHS tapes I can keep in my collection for playing while I sew. Just finished watching Kathy Bates in Misery and now I've got Clint Eastwood with Bridges of Madison County. Makes for a fun day of sewing.
I ran to the library this morning and picked up 4 audio books (and two to read). Jen just got back from Mary's house and picked up Sammy to take home. She was beat so I imagine they'll both nap.
I moved from my bed to the recliner at 3 a.m. (almost a nightly routine these days) as my body "acts up" and I need to get off the mattress to finish my sleep in a chair. Last night it was ankle cramps. Haven't had those little buggers in weeks and now they seem to have returned. Wish I could pinpoint what triggers them as they're a damn pain in the butt! For whatever reason, sleeping in the recliner keeps them at bay. Just amazes me sometimes how difficult getting a good nights' sleep now that I'm OLD has become.
Joined Netflix program where you get disks in the mail and my first one arrived today. Get Out. Excited to see it as it was nominated for best picture.
Well, back to work I go. Am trying to keep my blog more recent but it's hard when you don't go anywhere much, see anyone, or do anything outside of a little housework and your hobbies. That's okay, though.
