Lazy Day

I started keeping a sleep diary last night for the sleep study I agreed to take next month.  Have to do this for a week.  If I end up diagnosed with sleep apnea I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong. Still...I think my hip is to blame. We'll see.  As I transfer from one bed to another and then my recliner during the night (also stopping to record trips to the bathroom) it's irritating as hell to stop and scribble times on a piece of paper. Course I have to rewrite everything the next day 'cause you can't read much of what I recorded.

One of the questions was the age of my parents when they died. Dad was 86 and my mother was 91. I can't imagine living that long. Especially considering the way I'm totally disgusted with my body aches and pains now.  I went to Walmart and bought the supplies I needed for my "person" who is going to make up pot cream for me and a couple friends. Got some 1/2 pint canning jars (cute little things), some cheese cloth for straining and some coconut oil She already had enough beeswax from our last batch.  I don't know if it's even helped my hip all that much so I may have to start smoking the vape stick too.  I can always use the salve on my thumb.  That's the latest arthritis target driving me to distraction.  It's definitely affected my ability to do a whole lot of ordinary things -- like picking up a glass of water, opening a bottle, typing, doing cross stitch...it's unbelievable how much you need a good-working thumb!

Jenni and I hit about three yard sales this morning. The first one had me pulling out my camera when I saw this leaning against the garage wall.
Our third and last stop I could have spent an hour at but my legs/back/hips wanted to sit.  Must have been a house of hoarders.  A guy told me two brothers and a sister lived there (all dead now maybe?) and they were all collectors.  We're talking floor to ceiling in every room. And the house wasn't that large.  They had piled a ton of stuff all around the house and under the trees and in sheds as well as the house.

Pans of all sorts (I bought a square baking pan and two bread pans), dishes, glasses, Xmas decorations, Barbie dolls and other fancy dolls in boxes, tools, fishing tackle boxes, books, CDs, movies, material, sewing stuff, two sewing machines, appliances, cuckoo clocks, knickknacks, magazines, puzzles, oh the list is endless.  I feel sorry for those folks who are going to have to dispose of it. Their house is kind of off the beaten path and while there are people who would buy it, it's getting the crowds there.
I bought a like-new counted cross stitch book and a 3-cd set of Al Jolson tunes.  Had I been in the market for material, I could have made a killing but I've been given so much lately, I didn't dare stop to look.

Our street is real crowded with construction guys and trucks and machinery today. Putting in driveways.

My mailman either didn't stop at my box this morning or hasn't showed up yet. I'll give him another hour and then go retrieve the netflix disc I was mailing back.  Finally decided to quit the mail-in portion and just keep streaming.

After Jenni dropped me off, I decided I'd head back out again to run a couple errands.
Went to Swains for the jars and over to Walmart for a few grocery items and some vitamins. Stopped at Frugals to get a cheeseburger on the way home.  Yummy!

I headed to the recliner for my afternoon nap and slept for an hour and a half. Had to force myself up. Could have easily put in another hour or more but I've got to try and keep ahead of this daytime sleeping habit.  Thankfully, the phone rang so I was forced to stay up. Joe Coates, an old classmate I hadn't seen since maybe 1976, called to chat.  I see the rain has finally decided to start.  I set out a 750-pc jigsaw puzzle to play around with the next few days or so. May try to get something going in the sewing room too. But not today.  Too dang tired!

I need to go get some blood drawn for this blood testing my doctor ordered. Maybe I'll go now and get it over with. Sometimes you can get right in and out again if you go i the late afternoon.

Watched a really weird movie on Netflix last night. Sunday's Illness I think it was called. In French no less. I don't usually watch foreign films but this one caught my interest.
Well, that's it for now.
