Fri B4 Turkey Day

It's been kind of a hard week. An outfit came to assess the water damage in the floor and said the leak did more damage than we originally thought. He left four large fan/heaters and a humidifier. Noisy buggers and they have to run around the clock.
He came the next day with another guy and they removed a corner cabinet.
It's sitting o the other side of the kitchen now and from what I've heard they may not be putting the cabinet back as they aren't making enough money on the job. Say what?!  I guess Mary has hired another guy to come do that once the readings say the wood is dried out.  A new guy came yesterday and said it wasn't time to remove the fans yet. Also wanted me to put my little space heater in there.
Right now, a third guy is here to retest again.  I'm waiting to hear what his gadgets read this time but I'm ready to accept that those machines are gonna be here longer.

Once we get the go ahead, another outfit comes to tear out all the linoleum and lay down new hardwood flooring.  It's a process.  The Sears service guys came somewhere in the middle of this hoohaw and charged an outrageous price to remove the bad piece that caused all the damage. I opted to not have them hook it up again. (the icemaker/water hose feature)  I don't know why two guys came as one just stood around. The other worked for maybe half an hour and charged $391 labor. That's on top of a $105 charge just to step through the door and then parts.  Huge ripoff!

I'm using my three bedrooms for various activities now.  Too noisy and too hot to stay in frontroom and kitchen.  The back bedroom holds a lot of odds and ends (as does the garage) and I plan on going in there later to start wrapping some Xmas gifts.  I've already got a card table set up.  My bedroom has my recliner in there so that's where I nap, read, eat, and watch tv.  The sewing room is now my sewing/office and I spend a lot of my day in here on the computer, playing solitaire, writing emails, listening to audio books, working crossword puzzles, and painting rocks. I do keep busy.

Went to physical therapy this morning at 8:30. I have three appts left for my poor shoulder that is probably going to end up giving me grief the rest of my life. I'll deal with it.  Nothing much on my agenda this weekend. Will go over to Jen's house on Thanksgiving and that will give me a chance to see three of the four grandkids.

Jake left with his folks this morning to go to Costa Rica. They'll have a super time. Come back in 7 days and I'll see them a day or two before Christmas when I ride over with Jenni. She'll be picking Hunter up at the airport then too. (from Ariz)

I've got lots of books set aside to read. Am working Johnny Cash, A life  right now and will start a autobio of Erin Walton. Another collection of best mystery short stories and one that just came in the mail today called Dynamic Aging. My physical therapist suggested it. Author is 4 Sequim women I think.

I'm going to start going through my books little by little since they're all packed away in bins right now. Have been wanting to thin down the collection anyhow. Same goes for my knickknacks. It will be harder to get rid of those but I intend to be strong. I've got a dozen things listed on the free website for Clallam County right now. About half have been picked up.

Well, I guess I'll tootle out to the kitchen and see what the guy says about the readings.
