It's November!

My intention to try and blog more frequently doesn't seem to be taking. Perhaps because I don't have a heck of a lot going on. Oh well, I never let that stop me before.  I've been studying my new laptop trying to learn how to do a lot of the same things I was used to doing on my old one but I haven't got there yet. Right now I'm working on how to make folders in my picture file.  I know it has to be easy but I'm not finding the key yet.  I end up transferring to a thumb drive, plugging that into my old laptop, doing what I want on there, and then transferring back to the new laptop.  It could just be that my new one doesn't have those options so for now, I'll continue along making my own routine of what works.

Just got back from the doctor.  I've been suffering with plugged ears off and on for weeks and my attempts to clean them myself just wasn't working. All better now and I got some tips on how to take care of them at home.  This guy was way more informative and one thing he told me was not to use hydrogen peroxide full strength; that it needs to be watered down before putting in the ears.  My other PA and doctor never said a word about that when I questioned them on using h.p.  He also gave me tips on how to put it in and how to clean it afterwards.  I was glad I went. Plus this time it didn't hurt like the other times I've had them worked on. I think it all depends on whose doing the work.

Physical therapy is continuing along, twice a week. I won't be done until the first week of December but it definitely is helping the impingement I've been suffering from.  Still kicking myself for not going sooner --but it's what I do.

Activities around the house continue along the same road -- sewing, painting rocks, reading, napping, television, and computer surfing.  Still working on trying to limit my addiction to freecell and solitaire. How this happened I do not know. I've known those games were there for years but they never pulled me in to play all that often.   My tv watching is pretty much limited to two shows right now --The Americans on Amazon and The Incredible Dr. Pol on Hulu.  I watch one episode of the vet and then watch the spy show until the sandman calls my name. I've seen The Americans before but I think there are new seasons since I last watched. At any rate, I'm enjoying them all over again. Just wish they'd stay out of my dreams at night.  I also have The Waltons playing when I'm sewing sometimes but I'm on the final season of them so I'll have to get back to audio books or some other show.

I've been setting aside various Christmas gifts for a while now. Back room is filling up with handmade items and cheapie stuff picked up here and there. Going to cut way down this year.  Which I say every year but this year I mean it!

Getting to be about the dinner hour  so I think I'll end this blog with various pictures (mostly found on Facebook or sent to me in emails).  They'll be "all over the place" as I skip here and there. Bear with me.
This is my neighbor Heather and how she usually looks. I was astonished to see her halloween makeover. Could hardly believe it was her....

This is Heather & Mark's garage door. He made those decorations in his work shop. Really spectacular.
This is what Jake wanted to be for his halloween dress up.   ha ha ha  ha ha
And here he is afterwards with his favorite thing -- candy!
This is his first trip to a McDonalds.  His little grin cracks me up.

Lunch at the casino on Monday with Joyce Lee, Joanne Gilles, and Mary Norton.
Hunter has got "student of the session" three times in a row at his college. He's going to be one top notch mechanic.
Picture of the Jeff.County courthouse that Terry Logue took.  So pretty.
Things I saw on Facebook and took a second look.
This one and the next one made me laugh out loud.

Quilts in a church.  So cool.

And that's about it for now. I think we set the clocks back this Saturday night. Such a nuisance!
