I just stuck a long three-page letter in the mail to my sister in stir. ha ha How many people can type those words?
I am going to settle my butt in the sewing room within the hour. I've been determined to slowly work my way through the large bin of tiny scraps of material. It's hard for me to throw away anything material-wise so I'm going to work on scrap quilts. Nice easy work where you just have an old movie playing in the background while you sew odd scraps together. String piecing a lot of them and then take them to the recliner at night to snip apart and play with scissors.
I've got a really fun puzzle in the works right now too. As seen on the right.
It's a 500-piece one (with large pieces) that Jen lent me. 1950's theme with records and so colorful. And easy. I sat too long yesterday trying to find "just one more piece." I won't do that again. My hip was killing me when I finally pushed the chair away from the table. I knew better too.
I went out into the backyard and took a couple shots of spring showing it's face.
I did manage to pull a few weeds from this daffodil patch yesterday. Just easy to grab ones before I made my way back to the house.
I've been surfing around on Netflix and Amazon Prime looking for something of interest --which is hard to do when you're as persnickety as I am. I came across the old tv show The Naked City and thought "oh, this will be fun." But it wasn't. Too dated and cornbally. I do remember watching it faithfully Iback in the 50's and 60s,though. I've tried various shows but for whatever reason, nothing much catches my interest enough to stick with it. I end up falling back on old favorites like Downton Abbey, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, etc. I see that Call the Midwifes is starting a new season tonight on PBS. I'll have to check that out.
I sure was busy in my dreams again last night. I do believe a ferryboat showed up again at some point. They're always showing up. And I usually seem to be traveling by foot. Sometimes by bicycle. When I'm onfoot, I'm walking quite well and quite fast. And going long distances. Miles and miles.
Can't remember what else I was going to yak about. Must have been as boring as the stuff I've discussed so far. Ha!
Make sure you check out the pages on MY Facebook page. Lots of fun photos
