The morning started kind of slow as I was tired and felt I needed a couple more hours of sleep. I eventually got up and got out. Went over to the apartments I'm hoping to move to someday as I wanted to look at the one-bedroom again to try and figure out what will fit and what I may have to leave at Jenni's. Tucker was very gracious about letting me wander through and take measurements and a few pictures. Going to be a tight squeeze but I'll manage.
I ran a few errands while I was out. Remembered too late that the jingle bells I wanted at Joanne's could be had for a buck at the Dollar Tree. Hate it when I forget stuff I know. I did finally recall what HFH afternoon stood for on my calendar for Sept. 19. Habitat for Humanity. That's when they're coming to see if they want any of the tables in my garage. Couldn't come sooner as they're all booked up and only go out three days a week.
Jenni invited me for dinner yesterday. It was heavenly. Wayne cooked burgers and corn on the cob outside on the grill. Everything tastes better on the grill. She sent me home with a burger for today (already ate it) and a big salad, a bowl of soup, and a cookie. They're all gone now too (except the salad). I'll have that tomorrow.
She lent me another jigsaw puzzle so I'll probably set that up in the morning. I spent a few hours sewing today as I needed to stay away from playing games on the computer. Still have to put the backing on this wall hanging but I can do that later.
Wayne, who is consistently lucky at the casino won three items the other day. Well, he didn't win them really. They GAVE them to him for being a good customer. Meaning he spends money. But he wins too. Everytime. Big Bucks. He got an ice chest, a back pack and this tent he set up in his back yard.
I think Hunter is lucky at gambling too. Him and Wayne like to go together now and again. Course Hunter's away at college right now. I'm going to the casino on the 16th of September to have lunch with friends. And gamble. Joanne Gilles, Ann Morrison, Mary Norton, Mary Gaboury, and Joyce Lee. We'll have fun.
I started a new book today since I sat up last night to finish off my murder mystery. Now I'm working on Love Me by Garrison Keillor. I've been yawning all day long so I probably won't make it too late tonight. I hope I sleep better than I did last night. My shoulder kept aching and the room was too warm.
Mary and Andy had a great time at Seaside and I loved seeing their pictures. Poppy loved being off the leash and fell asleep every night exhausted. Ha Ha
And that's about all for this Labor Day.
