I thought I was going to get more done today but fatigue (also known as laziness) set in and my good intentions to be productive kind of went down the drain. I started out okay. Washed up a few dishes, brought in the trash bins from the alley, worked a crossword online (it was kinda hard), played with my jigsaw puzzle a bit, and then hunkered down at the sewing machine to finish up my latest table top. It turned out okay so maybe I'm finally getting the hang of it.
I had two bananas going bad so I decided it was going to be bread of cookies. Settled on cookies and added choc. chips and raisins and nuts. Put the batter in the fridge to just bake up a few at a time. Mixed up some boiled eggs for egg salad sandwiches and sat down to do another crossword, this time with pen and paper. I played a little bingo online and a couple games of freecell but my connection to the net was kind of jumpy so I gave that past time up and got on with other hobbies.
I wanted to work at some applique projects so I went to Youtube to watch videos. You have to be patient a lot of times with those quilt videos as some of those people talk too much and don't say anything. I love that I can click them away if they're wasting my time. I sat and watched this one woman show us how to make a Christmas card using plastic wrap, an iron, and a paper napkin. As much trouble as she was having and as long as it took her to make one, I would think she'd just go buy some cards. Especially since the card she ended up with didn't look like anything special. But, I guess it the fun of doing crafts that is the draw.
I'm going to go back and watch more (there are a ton of them!) but first of all, I think I'm going to have to take a nap. 3 to 5 is often my slump period and while I can usually work through it, sometimes I have to throw in the towel and take a nap. I really wanted to get some reading done today but there's no way I can do it now. Maybe after my nap. And yes, this is one of my more boring blogs.
Saw a picture on Facebook of my stepsister Shannon, her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, Owen.
So that will be one I'll post today.
Mary and Andy will be busy most Saturday mornings with Jake's soccer practice so that will be my other picture for today.
Andy's going to be a parent coach.
My entire calendar for next week is completely blank. That means I'll be doing more of nothing. Well, I will try to keep busy. Got some sewing ideas in mind and there's always reading. Saw this cute picture on Facebook of a guy who parked his car in the house to keep it safe from storms down south.
Makes perfect sense to me.
Well, I'm off to the recliner now to see if I can get rested up for doing more of nothing later. ha ha
