5 p.m. on a sunny Friday. I've got a pork chop frying on the stove so thought I would write a few lines. Took Poppy to the Hood Canal Bridge at 10 this morning to meet Mary so she didn't have to drive all the way to P.A. Needless to say they were both very happy to see each other.
Couldn't believe it when Mary plopped right now in the parking lot so Poppy could kiss her better. Ha! I came on home and proceeded to put my house back together. Sliding glass door got a Windex treatment, yard was picked up of poo poo, and I mopped the floors after vacuuming. Washed a couple blankets too.
She's just a pup yet so I'll forgive the naughtiness. Man! She was full of it and made a big game out of getting into everything and then showing me she had it. As soon as I'd get up to retrieve whatever it was, her little butt would go right up in the air as she'd let me get just so close and then she'd tear off all over the house. Trying to catch her was impossible so I eventually had to go out on the deck and pretend I was real interested in something out there so she'd follow me and I'd run back in and lock her out while I picked up the item. If I stuck something in the middle of the kitchen table, she'd go around to every single side standing up and trying to nab it with her paw.
One night she came in from outside looking kind of spooked. I stuck my head out and heard a coyote in the distance. First time I'd ever heard one.
Another day she was barking to beat the band so I let her out to see what it was that had her worked up. I saw a neighbor's cat on their fence. A cat I'd never seen before so they had a stare down.
She seldom laid on her bed. Preferred my rocker recliner--except when I wasn't in my other recliner, she chose that one to hang out in.
No hair anywhere. I guess Golden Doodles don't shed but I have enough innards of her toys laying everywhere as she chewed them to pieces.
Here's some pictures Mary sent on their Disneyland adventure.

I'm continuing to downsize as I reevaluate again what I can probably live without. Giving a few things away on the Facebook page of Clallam Free stuff.
I had called the Disco View manager to find out if "cable included" meant just tv or internet as well. I should have known. But I'll make room in my budget for Internet charge. I can't use my Alexa Echo or my Roku without it, not to mention going online.
I went to Amazon today and ordered a small microwave. Takes a time to read all the reviews but I'm sure glad they give that option. Supposed to arrive Feb. 28th. The DV manager said all the paperwork is still in process but I'm hoping for a go ahead in the first week of March. Jenni, Sue, and I might make a pre-move run in our two cars to carry in smaller items that we can handle so that moving day will go quicker with the U-haul truck. If March 14 ends up being the move day, Wayne and Jenni want to get done early as they have tickets for a concert at The Point Casino in Kingston. It should go fairly fast as I've already packed up a great deal. Did the master bath a few days ago. Always amazes me when you stop to actually pick up everything to put it in a box, just how much stuff you've accumulated.
I wish I knew what apartment the folks had when they first moved in to Discovery View. I know it was a one-bedroom but I can't recall the number. They switched to a two bedroom later on and it was #225. There are 48 units altogether on two floors. I'm kind of hoping I'm on the ground floor but I don't really care one way or the other.
As usual, the news is irritating as hell! I'm going to turn it off. I don't need the aggravation. Pork chop is done so guess I'll cut it up and eat my salad. Nothing much on the agenda next week. Doctor appt for my damn low back/hip on Wed and lunch at the casino with the girls on Thursday.
Here's an interesting picture I saw on FB of the proper way to use toilet covers. Odd that I never really knew this.
