Got a houseguest

Man! Now I remember what it was like to have kids in the house. Toys everywhere. And sometimes I find something I'd thrown in the garbage. Like this sock when I decided to clean out my dresser and discovered the only item I could downsize was one lousy pair of socks. She's only about 1 so she's still a baby I think. Wants me to play with her all the time.

one tennis ball that needs to be tossed out

Jen and I did take Poppy and Sammy to the dog park so he could run.  I think Sammy would have preferred the small dog side but he dealt with everyone wanting to smell his butt!  ha ha
I was a little worried about how bedtime would go. Mary told me she's used to sleeping with them and while I'm not, I decided I could go with the flow if I had to.  It was okay.

I've still got some downsizing to attend to even though I did a major job of it last summer. I cleaned out the hall closet, the garage, the sewing room closet, and the kitchen cupboards. All that's left is to go through all the boxes in the back bedroom where I've packed up what I want to keep so it's all ready to load into the truck once moving day arrives. Not sure when that will be but some Saturday in March. Would love for it to be the 1st but that's probably not going to happen.

The realtor is already anxious to come in  with her camera and get going on the listing. Said it should sell fast as there aren't a lot of homes on the market and this one has good selling points -- like 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large open living room, garage, fenced yard, and ALL appliances.  New hardwood floors too.  The couple next door told me they're also moving. They rent like I do and have found a house they want across town.

I set up a new jigsaw puzzle this afternoon and will use that to pass the time and keep myself amused.
Also have a small sewing project in the works and several books sitting by my recliner.  Much to my dismay, my back has been causing me a lot of grief the last two weeks.  Something shot through very painfully when I coughed so I assume it's a nerve gone nutso in the low back.  Have always had trouble with it one way or another but it's extra ornery right now and I have to be super careful if I bend down.  Annoys me that I can't begin this latest adventure with gusto. Gotta move slowly like the old lady I am.  But I'll deal with it.

Took a bowl of homemade soup out of the freezer and have it thawing out on the stove right now. That'll be dinner for two nights so I don't have to expend any energy on that.  Well, guess I'll go throw some water in my face and see if I can't wake up. I took an hour recliner nap. Me in one, Poppy in the other, and now I'm groggy and tired.  Oh woe is me.
