Day has started nicely. Turned on the heat for the first time and it warmed up in here quickly and quietly. Love that as the forced air heater in the other house was a noisy little thing, at least in the living room. Always made me aware that it was on and using electricity that was going to make my utility bill go up. No need to even think along those lines here since the utilities are included in the rent.
Took a hot shower (still stepping carefully as I learn the mechanics of the walk-in shower and faucets.) I brewed a small pot of coffee and toasted an English muffin 'cause it was only 7:30 and breakfast downstairs isn't served until 9. I spent the time working the crossword online, reading the PDN (online), looking over Facebook, and checking my lotto numbers to see if I was going to have to move. haha I seriously doubt God is going to give me that jackpot after all these years.
I went down to breakfast which consisted of a waffle, fried egg, sausage patty, peaches, and coffee and juice.
Then I decided to go to the night deposit of the bank. Needed to get the lay of the land over there anyhow and figured Sunday morning would be a good time to browse the lot and see where everything was. After that I dragged the gut. ha ha Most of you will know what that means. Went slow down Water to see the names of the businesses and recognized few. Gonna have to take a walk about when my hips are agreeable so I can get acquainted with my hometown all over again. I got a cortisone shot Friday in both hips and I think they've helped a lot. I have high hopes of being more mobile than I am right now. Drove through Point Hudson and saw it was a popular place for campers. Beach view was spectacular too!
I came back home and started rearranging a few nooks and crannies (again!) I imagine I'll be doing that for a while as I decide where I want this and that. Goal for today is to clean out the dresser and this large bin of clothes that I moved from the bathroom to the bedroom. Also need to iron a few t-shirts. I've made little notes to myself for a "to-do" list and one of the things I wrote was "back of picture." I had no clue what that meant until just this minute as I typed the words. Sigh..... I had this large framed picture of geese that needed the hang-up tab on the back repaired. I fixed it the best I could and put it on the free table in the laundry room. Mary and Jake are coming to visit on Wednesday and I've started a Mary list of help I need with my cellphone. I do love cell phones but the notification sounds (repeating themselves) is driving me nuts!
As I walk around my rooms looking for new ways to conserve space, I'm thinking I might remove one of the hanging shoe holders I've put in the front closet. I can always throw those shoes in a bin under the bed and free up that closet bar.
I turned on tv and much to my delight, found golf on NBC. Ahhhhh.... a perfect Sunday. I kind of like that my window looks out on the courtyard as there are shrubs and trees there. One tall one is close to my window and I've been able to watch the birds fly in. One thing I knew I was going to miss in the PA house was observing the hummingbirds. Yeah, I know what I sound like -- an old lady! haha Well, it is what it is. Here's my window tree. It'll be pretty when it blooms in spring.
And I turned off the notifications on my phone. I'll just check it for messages at my leisure. Well, time to get to work.
