Sitting here with a cup of coffee and half watching ET, one of my favorites. Decided 2-1/2 weeks here was time enough for me to start a baking project. I knew I had a half pkg of chocolate chips somewhere and in the process of hunting for it, I found two other things I thought were lost to me.
My bottle of apple cider vinegar and this black cup lid I took to bed each night with my Redskin cup.
Always need water by the bedside and I felt more comfortable about accidentally tipping the cup over in the middle of the night. Was mighty happy to spot it in the spices. I knew I had put it somewhere stupid.
We had a loud hail storm at 3 a.m. Of course I always have to get up and look at the weather. There was still some left on the ground at 7 but it's gone now and the sun is out. The apartment is warm so I opened a window for fresh air and opened my door. I have an oven thermometer so am watching the cookies to make sure they're not getting burnt. I'm only making one sheet right now and will cook up others as the need demands. There's always a need sooner or later.
I've been sneezing and blowing my fool head off for hours. Feels like allergies so I downed a pill I found in the medicine cabinet and squirted something up my nose too. Thank God for kleenex! It's actually been quite a while since I've suffered this way. Wonder what is blooming that my senses are allergic to.
Well, that's odd. My movie just switched to Spanish. Unless it was playing Spanish all along and I didn't listen. I couldn't figure out how to go back to English so I turned off the set and then turned it back on. The commercials are playing now and they're all in English so I'll wait and see what the movie is doing. Hmmmm....still in Spanish. Guess I'll change to Little House and see what's going on. Must have been that Freeform channel because Pa is talking English.
Started watching this show on Hulu last night with Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington called
Little Fires Everywhere. Looks pretty good.
Decided to rearrange my bedroom yesterday. Rearranging always cheers me up and I was in a mood because of the micro manager who has become my cross to bear. She closed the library, the activity room, the dining room, the pool room, the tv room, and even the restroom. Overkill in my opinion. I think if she could figure out a way to get away with it, she'd tape off the mailroom and elevator and laundry rooms too!
I needed my sewing area to be a little more user friendly so I put away my ironing board and set up a tv tray with a towel inside a pillow case for a smaller area to press while sewing. I also set up the card table and that gave me better storage underneath. Also changed some of the gadgets that needed to be on an electric strip which made it easier to get to my bookcase.
Doesn't look like much, I know, but it's my little hobby corner and I'm pleased with it. Was pleasantly surprised yesterday to have this girl stop by and pick up my sheets and towels for washing, drying, and folding. Anytime I can save my quarters on the machines, I'm fine with that.
And I guess that's it for now. I was going to go out and about for a little walk using my walker but the hip told me she would preferred if I stayed in. Am suspecting these episodes of pain I've been dealt might just be sciatica and not bursitis. But we'll never know, will we? And there are other things to focus on in this world besides my damn hips!
