The maintenance man is busy painting all the hallways now. Obviously, that is higher on their need to do list. I pay over a thousand dollars a month rent here and I would expect to have a oven I can use without worry. Irritates me to say the least but it's not the first time I've observed behavior that falls below the courtesy line. Mary told me not to take it personally as it wasn't directed at me. I say: Yes it was.
Mary taught me how to use the Zoom app on my computer today. I still need to figure out how to generate a meeting with other people but once I do, I can see using it often. It's easy and fun. I had a small lap quilt I wanted to get the backing on this morning so I happily got that completed and set aside for when I need a gift.
I finally finished reading a book yesterday. The Most Wanted by Jacquelyn Mitchard. I didn't think I'd ever get through it as I kept falling asleep everytime I tried to read. The next one I'm starting is called Educated by Tara Westover.
I've been watching Ozark on Netflix. Am into season 3 and loving it! Still take time, though, to watch at least one episode of Life Below Zero. To keep the news off I usually turn to an old movie on Amazon. This morning it was True Grit with John Wayne and The Way West with Robert Mitchum, Richard Widmark, Kirk Douglas, and Sally Field.
Tomorrow I may set up another jigsaw. Also might start sewing something. Not sure what but Joanne Gilles gave me a bag of scraps (pretty material) so I gotta find something to do with it. A crumb quilt if nothing else.
And that's about it from my little corner of the world.
