My Day Today

Just finished dinner and it was good.  Ed's a good cook. I had mashed potatoes w/gravy, corn, cole slaw, baked ham, and cherry crisp.  My activities today included a hot shower, washed whites, went to Safeway to buy quinine for may damn leg cramps, did a couple crosswords, and finished sewing up the 6" crumb quilt squares. I think I'm just going to use it as table covering.
Tomorrow I have some larger squares to sew together and that'll  be a blanket. They're various designs but pretty interesting over all.
I meant to buy bananas this morning but I forgot. The only thing I couldn't find was Vit A. I heard on the coast to coast late night radio show I listen to that A & D are recommended for virus protection.
So much info out there and no one really knows what's valid and what's not. I don't suppose we'll know that for years to come.  I'm way better off mentally if I made an effort to NOT listen to the news. They're getting way out of hand and have been for years.  They should have been reeled in a long time ago.  One guy was looking for thermometers but the pharmacist said they were out.

I sometimes tune in this show called 'Through the Decades'. It's a lot of fun. Got to see old Ed Sullivan acts today. Rolling Stones, Everly Brothers,Wayne Newton, Debbie Reynolds, among others. I've always thought that my niece, Emily, looks just like Mick Jagger.

I slept poorly last night even though I had taken the soft foam mattress topper off. It's going back on tonight. My theory that my sciatica might get better on a firm mattress doesn't seem to be working. I had a lot of difficulty walking today and was even worse after the exercises.  And my pot cream doesn't seem to do much either!  That walker I picked up a couple weeks back has been a God send. A couple of times I've taken off down the hall to go check mail and had to come back and retrieve the walker as I just couldn't manage.  Irritating but I can only hope it subsides sooner or later.

I ordered two magazine subscriptions yesterday. Games and Readers Digest. Mary has airline points to use or lose so she's getting me two others (for free). Prevention and  Vanity Fair.  I sure don't get much mail anymore.  I did receive my address labels, though. I ordered Xmas ones as they were  $10 cheaper. Plus the ones I picked don't really look that Christmassy. Not sure why my pictures are looky so blurry lately. Hope it's not my eyes.
Well, that's about all I have for this April 2. If my aunt Lillian was alive, she'd be 95 today.  Here's two I've always liked in my collection.
