I haven't felt particularly chipper the last two or three days and am not sure what's going on. Fatigue seems to be my middle name and both my gut and my sinuses are not behaving. I pushed myself to get going this morning anyway. Had to take a neighbor to her dentist appt and I sat in the car reading my John Grisham novel. Did take a quick walk thru at Goodwill too since it was next door. Ended up buyng a little one-cup flour sifter for .99. Almost bought this cute stuffed animal (a bear) but I resisted. As I left Goodwill to head back to the dentist parking lot to read, I saw that I couldn't turn into his parking lot because of a road divider. I drove around to the back and thought I'd scoot in that way (even though the arrows said one way). It was early and I wasn't expecting traffic for the few feet I needed to drive. But, wouldn't you know....here comes a car. I hadn't actually started to enter the parking lot yet so I parked to the side to let the car go where she wanted to go. Even though I wasn't moving, this battle ax felt the need to roll down her window and point out to me that the road was one-way. I wish she would have stayed a tad longer so she could have heard me call her a name but she was intent on moving. As it was I noticed she was using the dentist parking lot as a short cut to get to the storage units across the way INSTEAD of using the proper road. People seem to be onery a lot more these days. And I'm no different. Yesterday, I wasn't moving fast enough for this woman behind me in the QFC parking lot who felt the need to honk telling me basically she wanted through. I replied as I usually do to drivers who tick me off...Asshole! Yeah, I'm a lady.
I've been watching the Acorn channel on my roku at night. One of my favorite shows is this police program called 19-2. Last night I also tuned in to a show about Prince Charles and the farms and gardens he has.Called Prince Charles inside the Duchy of Cornwall. For some reason, I've always liked Prince Charles and found his voice nice to listen to. I also came across (on Amazon Prime) Richard Hammond meets Evel Kneivel. That was very interesting. Evel's son Robbie, used to live not that far from my mobile home in Sequim and I'd ride my bike by his place often as it was one of the routes I took.
Richard Hammond appears on Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson and James May. Hilarious fellows. Really. My new favs. Watch The Grand Tour. It's terrific.
I washed a load of laundry this morning and am waiting for my timer to remind me to go get the clothes out of the dryer. That will probably be the extent of my housework today. My jigsaw puzzle awaits adn I may just plop in the recliner to get some reading done. Oh, and I have to write a story today. Almost forgot that. The subject I got in my Monday email wasn't one I wanted to use so I'm looking over the alternatives to find something that might be more to my liking.
Somebody left a Time Magazine in the laundry room on the free table so I grabbed that and will look it over along with the Prevention Mag that came yesterday. And that about brings me up to date with the exciting events of my dull life. But I'm fine with that.
