Weekend is coming

Ha!  Big deal!  Weekend is coming.  That used to mean something. Nowadays I sometimes have to look at my computer to see what the date is.  I keep thinking today is somebody's birthday. Now that I've typed that, I seem to recall it's Honey vonGoerken's. I worked with her at the mill for many years.

Last night I watched a movie on Amazon Prime called 'I remember me'. Fascinating documentary on what they ended up calling Chronic Fatigue Syndrome -- but only because they couldn't figure out what the problem was.  Sometimes when you watch a certain movie, a whole new category will pop up called  Because you watched such-and-such, you may enjoy these.  I ended up writing down a couple dozen movies to check out later. All documentaries with some kind of medical theme behind them. Was happy to find them, too, because sometimes Amazon and Netflix make you work to find something of interest.

I've been waiting for Feb. 19th to arrive because a movie is being released today that I've really wanted to see. Frances McDormand is Nomadland. It's available on Hulu and Disney+, both of which I have on my roku.

I've felt kind of under the weather this week. Not really sick; just awfully tired and listless.  I could easily sleep the day away.  My stomach feels queasy a lot of the time too. February blues I suppose. Tomorrow I'm taking my sister up to the food bank. I'll take a box along for myself too as I want to see what they have available since I'll be buying my own food starting in March.  Apparently, you get in line in your car and they come out and take your list and your box, fill it up and then bring it back to you.

Tomorrow we are officially being allowed to have guests in our room. My daughter, Mary, is coming on March 27 to visit for the day before she heads out for a birthday party with friends.  Yesterday we had the fire department here to check out the fire alarm system.  Noisy process.

I'm reading a couple books right now -- Sisters by Choice by Susan Mallery and House Lessons by Erica Bauermeister. She writes about renovating an old Victorian up on Morgan Hill.

Well, I guess I'm in one of my many slump periods again. Yawn...yawn...yawn. Here's a cute cartoon I saw on Facebook....
And that's about all I have for today. It's pretty boring around here.
