And Here Comes Monday Again

It's 10 a.m. and I'm sitting here at the computer. Pretty much where I am a lot these days.  I just finished writing my morning story for "Story Worth."  Every Monday I get an email with a topic to write about but if I don't like that topic, they give me hundreds of others to choose from.  I had a tough time picking a topic today but I finally settled on 'My Childhood Bedroom'.  Found a goofy black and white photo of me sitting on my bunkbed as a teenager.  I'll always regret I didn't smile as it's the only picture I have of that tiny bedroom.

I don't have too much on my agenda today. I've set up the card table in my bedroom so I can practice making some more tiny quilt squares.  I made one yesterday but it looked pretty lame.
I've since found some other patterns that look a lot easier so I'm hoping my end products will improve as I practice.  I found this book at the library with 501 4" quilt squares to make and I liked it so much, I ordered it from thriftbooks.com, where my granddaughter, Catie, is office manager.  They had it in paperback and I'm excited for it to arrive.  Saw a picture on Facebook yesterday of  a wedding Catie was in for her best friend, Cailey, who got married. Catie is on the right in front.
Two pictures that Facebook put in my 'looking back' file this week include these from when I was downsizing in Port Angeles so I could move here. Man, that was a lot of work!

My fun chore today is to continue cleaning up my photos on my computer.  I try to keep up on it but it sure gets ahead of me fast.  My goal is to be able to find any picture I want at the time. I may never succeed but it's fun trying.  Only two things on my calendar this week. Friday is an eye appt to prepare for cataract surgery next month in Poulsbo and Wednesday I'm driving a lady down the hall who is new here around town -- just to show her around.

The maintenace guy is coming by in 20 minutes to replace another outlet that is going bad and since it's right behind where I'm sitting, I guess I'll unplug this laptop and move to the sewing area.
