Thankfully, I don't have any plans. I don't like going anywhere if I have to deal with traffic. And these days traffic is just THERE no matter what the day. I went to North Beach this morning and got two sacks of heavy rocks to work on this fall and winter. Couldn't have got them upstairs without my walker. I had picked up Mary G. and afterwards we rode around a bit and then went down by the railroad Y beach to see if there were blackberries. If I had had my walker with me, I could have walked further down the trail as I'm sure they're there but I settled for just a couple cups of berries near where I had parked.
Yesterday I spent a couple hours or more working on genealogy records for a former neighbor and classmate, Harry Goodrich. He was reading one of my books and saw my grandmother was a Holt. His mom was a Holt too. I did find that his line lived in Lancashire, Manchester England and my line lived there too. So.....we could very well be distant cousins. I mailed him off 3 pages of info which he should find interesting. I told him that him and I won't be on a census that is public until April of 2022. They make people wait 72 years after the census is taken to make it available to the public.
My granddaughter, Maddie, sent us a picture of the house her and Ants are buying in MS. So pretty. They'll head down there next month.
Here's my new stove and today I made homemade pizza and pigs in a blanket.
Here's a little charm I put on a chain as a going away gift for Mary when she heads to Yuma at the end of the month. I just love it. Lois Venarchick of the bead shop downtown made it. (where Brooks 5&10 used to be)
I ordered a purse on Amazon yesterday. Sure hope it's something I like. Should be here tomorrow. Below is a new cutting mat that arrived yesterday. It's two sided and I gave my old beat up ones to the activity director.
The activity director had this old metal sign in her craft room and I commented on how much I liked it. Always have loved Barney Fife. Much to my delight, she gave it to me.
So excited. Just got a text from Maddie and her and her mom are coming by tomorrow.
