Jenni came down early to drive me to Silverdale so I could get the second in a series of four shots for my back. It hurt again but not nearly as much as it did the first time. Maybe because I was ready for it. At any rate, I was super happy to be done. We got there an hour early so we hit the Dollar Tree store as I needed some items. Got in and out of there for $20 and then headed over to the pain clinic which was fairly close. I went in to register even though I was 40 minutes early and much to my delight, they were able to take me sooner than my 11:20 appt. We were are on our way home by 11. Yay!
The autumn trees were so pretty along Beaver Valley Road that I pulled my cell phone out to take some snapshots while the car was moving.
Once we got in town, I had her drive over by Goodwill so I could find out where that new bakery was. Took us a while to locate it and of course, they were closed. I did see more pretty trees up in that roundabout area, though, so I snapped away.
She drove me to Safeway to pick up a few items and then it was back to the apartment. She gave me some stick on butterflies so I put them up here and there after she left.
I had mentioned that I wanted a new halogen flashlight because the one Ruth had given me a few years ago was trying to get dim and I really liked the brightness it gave off. Much to my surprise, she unscrewed the bottom and showed me the BATTERIES! She told me I was dumb and I agreed with her.
Mary and Andy's dog turned three last week so Mary made her up a birthday cake. So cute.
She gets taken for a walk daily and if Mary is slow to get to it, she's "talked to" by Poppy. Here they are on one of their treks in the neighborhood.
Catie and Louie drove to Vancouver last Saturday to visit Mary and Andy. One of the things they did was go to the pumpkin patch.
I've been editing my Story Worth stories for my book and enjoying it so much. I deleted a few of the stories and combined others. Amazing how much better things are when you edit. It's one of my favorite things about writing.
Two cartoons I saw on Facebook that amused me.......
Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut by a lady downstairs and at 4 in the afternoon, I'll attend a quick alumni meeting. Nothing else on my agenda until the dermatologist appt. next Thursday and another Silverdale appt the week after that.
I've sure got a list of projects planned for this fall and winter and into the spring.....rock painting, jigsaw puzzles, writing, reading, genealogy research, and sewing, sewing, sewing.
Wish I could get in sooner than Nov. 9th to see the eye doctor in Hadlock. Been having a lot of issues with my eyes lately. Hard to know if it's allergies, age, bad glasses, or the cataracts. I do know I'm having way more headaches than I ever used to. Bought some eyedrops at Safeway today and think I'll go squirt some in now. It's always something.
