I've had a couple nights of insomnia this week. Not sure why but since they both happened after I had taken Sudafed, I half wondered if that had something to do with it. The pills were non drowsy which I wanted 'cause I didn't want to go to sleep. I suspect I must have slept off and on, though, because I wasn't tired to the bone all day long like I am when that usually happens. There have been plenty of mornings where I was wide awake at 4 or 5 and thinking I should get up but when you live in an apartment, you have to consider who you might be disturbing.
Think I'll change the font on here. My eyes have been giving me grief this week and I can't see as well as I normally do. Have an appt in Hadlock next month and will see if I need glasses and if my cataracts need attention. My last series of shots in Silverdale last week seemed to have helped. At least I'm walking around without the walker more often and while I don't feel like running a race, I am definitely moving a little better. Have got two more appts in Poulsbo next month and I'll be glad when they're behind me.
I've been watching it rain all day as I sat here at the computer working on my book. I finally got it where I wanted and sent it off for publication. I think there were about 108 pages and 50 some photos. It was a gift from a friend from Story Worth but I won't be ordered extras as they're $40 a piece and my little book IS NOT worth that!
I am going to attempt to make half a dozen copies for Christmas gifts though. Will have them printed up locally but I'll have to Google to see who can do it. I was going to go through the on-line outfit I used for my last two books but I think some brain cells have gone to sleep as I couldn't get it straight in my head how I needed to submit all the various files. I wrote to Rita Hubbard to see if she can help me. She's pretty good with techy things.
The book has 20 chapters and while some of the things I've already written about in other books, I did manage to come up with a few new things. Topics included: One of the silliest things I ever did, one of the stupidest things I ever did, favorite vacation, animals, music, books, photos, an experience I had but can't explain, my wedding, bowling, my poem, places I've lived and jobs I've had, favorite toys and tv shows as a child, memories of my youth, high school days and remembering my dad and grandpa plus others. I called it "Still Walkin' on Water" and used this picture:
Decided I was tired of my blog cover picture too so I changed it out. Not sure where I got that particular photo. Probably saw it on Facebook. Sure is pretty.I think I'll get back into sewing tomorrow. I see all the pretty material I've been given and I'm really anxious to play with it. Going to watch some more youtube videos tonight to remind myself of things I'd seen and want to try.
Amazon brought me a black and white and a color ink cartridge for my printer this afternoon. I don't usually have color ink onhand but sometimes you just want to use color, even if it costs too much. I also ordered four Xmas gifts. All the same thing but I liked them so the daughters have to like them too. I am cutting back this year, though. Everybody already has too much stuff anyhow. I am going to give some homemade gifts, though. Whether people want them or not! ha ha
Watched Meatloaf on Youtube last night. Interesting interview with Huckabee. I love his music. In fact, I'm going to go look on Amazon and see if there are any CDs available. I have him on a cassette but that isn't handy to play. Also want to look around for Jerry Lee Lewis and The Stones. One of these days I'm going to have to take the time to learn how to use the more modern ways to listen to music -- like my Echo, Amazon Music, I heart, etc.
Granddaughter Maddie and her husband, Ants, are in their new home in Columbus, MS now. They look so happy. (and so young)
