Now that it's light outside (a little after 7 a.m.) I can see a whole lot of frost on the roof across the courtyard. That's one thing I really like about living here. I'm never cold. I seldom turn the heat on and often have my window open in winter. It's not open right now but it will be this afternoon.
I've got my Pandora music playing on the TV (via roku) and have the Johnny Mathis station tuned in. Right now it's Patsy Cline singing Crazy. I've got a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle set up (People shopping at Costco) and I'll be working on that all week. It looks kind of hard. I'll have golf on most of the day and when I'm not watching that, I'll be in the bedroom working on another quilt. I did finish a flannel baby blanket yesterday and now I'm going to dig into a lot of the green material I have on hand. I picked up an audio book downstairs in the library (Rise and Shine) so I'll have that playing while at the sewing machine and ironing board.
I continue to pretty much tune in to Youtube in the evenings. I really enjoy watching the folks who hit yard sales and then resell their stuff on ebay. So interesting to see what kind of junk people everywhere have on hand. I've also been watching videos about how the Russians live. Mainly the common folk in the countryside and small towns. Fascinating how the small villages can be so rustic yet the big stores in the cities look just like Walmart.
The local library thought they could find me the book "You can't go home again" but now it looks like it's a hard to find item. I have it in paperback but the print is small and I was hoping for an audio version. Also wanted to see the 1979 made for tv movie about it. Not to be found even though I've looked on ebay. She did think she could find me the book on cassette tapes so I'm waiting to see if that happens.
My genealogy project continues to keep me amused although I can see I'm going to need to do a little more studying up on how the Morman website works. I know from watching youtube videos that there's a lot more out there for me to find but I'm finding the steps to record on my tree are slowing me down. I'm still not real pleased that the blog isn't cooperating in the way way as this blog but I'll figure it out sooner or later. I've been working on my great grandfather's half siblings but I'm more anxious to get into his full siblings and his children. One article (although I couldn't see the whole thing) was about a half brother named Elisha. (click to enlarge)
I've started watching Ozark on Netflix again. Sometimes it's hard to pick up again when a season ends but I'm glad I decided to give it a try. I found that I wasn't working on my counted cross stitch projects while involved with youtube but if a movie or show grabs my interest, then I have the desire to work on sewing at the same time. I'm almost done with the one in process right how (Goofy) so I'll have to hunt around for a new thing. Might have to hit the library and see if they have any good cross stitch books as I'm bored with my collection.
Well, I think I'll turn on the air fryer now and cook me a hash brown.
