Oh Woe is me!

I continue to struggle trying to figure out why my new blog about researching my family tree is giving me such grief as far as the settings go.  I've messed around with it all morning and into the afternoon. I may never get it the way I want it but for now, I'll leave it be and see if I can't work with it. I don't know why I put myself through this aggravation. I must like it.

I felt a little under the weather this morning but that's been such a regular occurance I give it a lot less attention than usual.  Of course you always wonder...is this the damn covid?  I have lost a few more pounds but I suppose my little bout of puking all night long on Saturday contributed to that. Whatever.

I sent for this ironing board holder that hangs on the back of a door so I'm hoping that might be the solution I need for this ongoing problem I've had with my ironing board never being in a handy spot for me to put away and get out again.  I sure hope it works. I also ordered another board cover. I've had such problems with getting the covers I've ordered to fit snugly and stay put.  I know.  If that's my biggest problem, what am I complaining about? Still....it bugs me!

I took my neighbor to Safeway and Kitsap Credit Union this morning. The lobby was closed (big pain in the butt) so she walked over to the drive-in window.  And ended up standing there in the cold for 15 minutes conducting her business. I felt sorry for her.  Several cars pulled into the parking lot and then had to climb back in their car to drive around to the window. I don't know what the big deal is. Sometimes I think businesses use "covid" as an excuse for everything.  When she finally finished, there was a line of cars waiting. She went over to one of them (it was white) and climbed into the front seat. The woman said: Can I help you?  hahaha  My neighbor (who had her mask on) looked up puzzled and realized it wasn't my car.  She laughed and laughed when she got out and saw I was parked a few feet away.

I spent last night binge watching one episode another of Alaska, the last frontier. They finally got some new episodes; just wish they could quit having so many commercials with them.

I took my book to read while sitting in Safeway parking lot waiting for my neighbor. Always interesting to watch the people coming and going and how many are walking with difficulty. Seemed to be more than usual today as I saw a walker, some canes, a walking stick, and general slowness with several folks. I guess I notice because I identify with that problem. I hate going to the store. And with prices going up and up, I'm hating it even more.

I guess I'm getting a new neighbor tomorrow. Saw a woman taking a few things in today but she said she was just helping a friend. I know it's a guy going in. Well, I think I'll grab my walker, go for a quick stroll down the hallways, both upstairs and down and then I'll come home and take a nap. Yeah, it's an exciting time to be me.
