I'm back among the living

Saturday night was a night I'd just as soon forget.  Always puzzles me how a mean virus (or whatever?) can attack and lay me flat so quickly.  I went to bed around 9ish and an hour later, I realized I was probably going to throw up. Uh oh.... This realization ended up lasting VIOLENTLY until 4 in the morning. And the last two hours was me sitting on the toilet and puking into the waste basket 'cause I was sick at both ends.  And I wanted to die.  Was it food poisoning? Maybe.  I'll never know. Yesterday I sat around and was listless but at least the nastiness was over.  And this morning I'm well again AND VERY THANKFUL!!!!

I did a load of laundry at 8, put some clothes on the giveaway table in the laundry room, had a cup of tea, worked the crossword, read the paper, and put together block #8 of the quilt squares I'm making from this woman on Youtube that I follow.  Then I dug through my various material bins to see what I wanted to do next. I've got this quilt top started of green triangles and I've got a lot of green material that I think I might use to surround the quilt top. It's kind of small right now so I'll add strips and/or some squares.

I took my neighbor to QFC and now I'm home and ready to play on the computer. Which means genealogy research for my new blog. It's called Grandpa Had a Mule.

Watched some football last night and that was sure exciting.  And that was my weekend, more or less.
Mary sent me a picture of her family so of course, I have to share that. I can't believe how fast Jake is growing.
Facebook sent me "remember when" pictures of when I lived in the P.A. house.

And here's a couple I saw on Facebook and had to save.  Taylor St in 1951 and an egg joke.

Have to get blood drawn at some point this week but that's the extent of my calendar appts. I will head to the post office, though, as I have a quilt I want to mail to a cousin Albany. I've never met her except through email but she's been nice enough to let me use her ancestry account for years and that saves me a pretty penny. We're related on my dad's mom's side.  Marsha Morgan.

And that's about all I have for this Monday morning.

Here's another cute pic that I saw on Facebook.  I've seen it before but it still makes me laugh.
