My Sunday so far

I stayed up until almost midnight last night.  That was weird 'cause I seldom can make it to ten and I hadn't even taken a nap that day.  I started watching this video on FB and it had be riveted. A woman was having her operated on because a black worm had embedded itself in there. It was gross but I couldn't stop watching. They finally got it out and whamo!  The video was over. They didn't explain a thing or even show us the worm up close.  It didn't occur to me that it was a HUGE scam but I googled the subject and up popped this story about how it was a scam. Lots of comments from people figuring out right away that it was fake. Hmmm...I sure didn't catch on so now I'm wiser.

I got up at 8, fixed a small breakfast of yogurt, toast, and tea and proceeded to do my usual morning computer rounds.  Read the PA paper. As usual it was lame. Did the crossword, posted on FB, wrote an email and played solitaire.  Then I decided to get moving and I went into the bedroom to finish off two small quilts that I had machine quilted yesterday and only needed to finish the borders around. Here they are: the fronts and the backs.  I used flannel sheeting for the inside so they're thin but pretty.

I really wanted a hamburger at McDonalds but really didn't want to go out to the car so I opted for peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Yay me!  I listened to a book on tape while finishing up the quilt and realized it was one I had checked out before (and didn't like). Hate it when I do that and I seem to do it a lot.  I haven't really been impressed with any of the books I picked up but I have one Stephen King left to try. I do have to go out and buy a lotto ticket tomorrow so I'll return all the books except King's, including the one that my CD player chewed up (it was on cassette) and I couldn't get it rewound. It was old.

I got the border finished on my 550 pc jigsaw puzzle last night so it's sitting there now waiting for me when the mood hits.  Maybe later this afternoon.  I am going to start scanning old photos now. That's always fun and I have some new ideas on how to organize my genealogy files.

Dinner is going to be this tuna mac salad I saw in my cookbook but I don't think I've ever made it before. It's seems easy. I boiled a couple eggs for it and now I have to cook up the macaroni.  I also had a "rearranging attack" and I decided to hang a different quilt on the living room wall and switch out wall pictures here and there. This puzzle picture was in my bedroom but in a place where you couldn't really see it so I put it in the bathroom. Ha! It's an aerial shot of the schools in the 1950s. Those buildings in front of the lagoon are the old army projects where people lived.  Maybe I'll put this on FB. I bet it would be of interest.

Well, my macaroni is cooking now so I'd better get off the computer and pay attention to one task at a time.  Oh....and I watched a good movie last night. Shopgirl  with Steve Martin and Claire Danes. He wrote the book.
