I'm having a halfway decent day and I never take that for granted. I was a little worried when I first got up because I had gone to bed with sinus pain on my face under my eyes. It woke me up a few times during the night so I was all ready to lay low with a cloth on my face if it continued to give me grief. I do have a doctor appt on Monday so that's comforting as I know I'll probably be able to get an antibiotic. I suspect I've had this infection for weeks what with all the sneezing, coughing, and runny nose I've been tolerating. My eyes always seem to be so sensitive to light anymore. Just another age thing I suppose.
I finished a sewing project I wanted to and now I'm sewing all the 6" squares together with white sashing to make a small quilt. It will be small as I will only have 6 across and 7 down but it should be pretty.
I found three magazines of interest on the free table in the laundry room so I'll entertain myself with those later on. I managed to get an overdue letter written and mailed so that was satisfying. And then I've been doing a lot of genealogy sorting work on the computer. Love that stuff but it can be hard on the eyes as I keep cutting and pasting one thing or another to a new place.
Dinner is going to be a salad (that a neighbor gave me) and she makes super salads. Way better than mine. Two covid test boxes arrived in the mail so I'll set them aside for whenever I think I need to test myself. A wig also showed up in the mail but it's gonna be returned as it's darker than I thought it would be and I look like hell. haha And then there's always that "old look" that keeps showing up in my photographs these days. Oh well, what do I expect?!
Here's a picture Mary took of Poppy who is watching Jake at the bus stop. I enjoy all pictures of Poppy.
John Ecker (classmate) was in town with his wife yesterday and we met for dinner. They don't have to show vaccination cards where he lives so when they tried to go into several PT restaurants, they wouldn't let them in. She had hers but he didn't. He called to say they would probably have to skip dinner but I told him where we'd eat with no issues. Just in case, though, I was ready to show my card on my phone and I gave him my physical card to flash when we were seated. As it was, no one asked for any ID. We came back here so they could see my apartment and then they headed downtown to sit in the ferry line to go back to Mt. Vernon.
Well, nuts! I feel like my sinus headache wants to return so maybe I should make a quick Safeway run to buy some pills. Or not. I really don't like going out if I don't have to. Golf is on and has pretty much been on all day so off to my recliner I go.
