My dang upper back continues to plague me but oddly, it's when I lay down or sit in my recliner. It kind of feels like chest congestion as my chest isn't exactly feeling wonderful either. It's been a week so I decided I'd call and make a doctor appt. Much to my surprise, I wasn't 16th in line and I'm getting in next week instead of next month. Hopefully, I'll be well by then (as that often happens) but if I'm not, at least I'm getting an opinion besides Dr. Google's. I've had to take cannabis oil three nights because I just couldn't sleep with the dull ache. And I only use that stuff when I really really feel I need it.
I got up after sleeping fairly well the night before but I still had to take a recliner nap after breakfast. I wonder if I have tired blood. Taking a morning nap is not my idea of starting a good day. At any rate, I forced myself to get up after an hour and get going on projects. I made a real pretty pink table top. Just a small one, and gave it to a lady down the hall. Another neighbor brought me this big ole salad and another gave me a bowl of her homemade soup.
My seven free frozen dinners arrived along with a half gallon of milk, half a dozen rolls, and some apples and oranges. That cheered me up.
I'm continuing to cut out squares from a bin of material nearby. I only spend an hour a day on it as it's easy to get bored. I've had golf on and tomorrow they're predicting horrible weather so I hope they still play. I love watching golf in bad weather. Kind of like football. I watched a few Youtube videos last night. Just too tired to get into a movie. I've been going to bed before 8 although I made it until 8:45 last night.
I wish I knew what caused my fingernails to grow so nice and long and then to start splitting; usually one after another. I had to clip two down real close as they split down to the bed. Are you bored yet? haha
I watched the country music awards on Amazon Prime the other night. Loved that I could fast forward through the B.S. I haven't really cared for the country music awards these past years as the performers I love are never featured. Probably because most of them are dead. But not all! I really get tired of seeing all those skinny minnie girls with their boobs hanging out and their pants so tight you keep waiting for them to split open. And the guys are way too skinny too. Beanpoles really. Young punks! And most seem to really be in love with themselves. They had Dolly Parton emceeing and her waist looked like it was probably 14" around. The only male singer I liked was Chris Stapleton and I even went on Amazon and ordered a CD. Been meaning to do that anyhow. The show took place in a huge arena in Vegas and it made me irritated to see everyone with their arms up filming on their phone. And if they weren't doing that, they were waving their arms back and forth slowly. I guess to the music. Whoever started that routine must have been hard up for entertainment.
I miss seeing Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Randy Travis, Conway Twitty, and Dpn Williams. And lots of others. These young dudes now all sound alike and it ain't country!
I saw this on FB yesterday and decided it was a keeper.
Well, I guess I'll go post on my genealogy blog now. I have one more brother of my grandpa's to write about and then I might switch over to my Grandma Viola Mae Holt, that was married to Grandpa Gene. She had a lot of siblings too. At some point, I'll explore other websites and see what kind of info I can find on grandpa's siblings that I couldn't find on ancestry.com. You just have to learn how and where to search -- and I've got a lot of notes to refer to.
And here's a fun video....
