Still at it

I continue to feel less than healthy but at least I'm up and have enough energy to work on various projects.  Blogged about two great uncles on my genealogy blog and tomorrow I'll do the last brother of my grandpa Gene.  I had forgotten about some of the notes in my files that I had accumulated years ago when I was in contact with various cousins. Cousins I've never met except online.  Was kind of eerie to read about one of my grandpa's sisters and how she treated her kids. Especially her son. What an eye opener. She'd probably be in jail if she tried some of those stunts today.

Three of his older siblings were teenagers when he was born.  He had a sister born a year after him (Minnie Mae) but she died in infancy and I haven't been able to find anything about her.  He also had an older brother die at age 12 before he was born. I haven't been able to find much on him either.  I do know there are several more websites to explore so I'm hoping that someday I might get to fill in the empty spots.

I've set up a material cutting project at the table so I can work on cutting out squares a little at at time. It's so tedious.  Am babysitting the neighbor's dog right now so Lola has taken over my chair for a while.

I sure have been bombarded with spam calls the last two days. Way more than usual and some are calling more than once. I'm going to have to look into that robocall service I've heard about.

Was on Google maps looking at this and that and pulled up the house I lived in in  Kirkland back in 1967-71.  Sure looks better now. I've got pictures of the backyard and the inside and man!  What you can if you have the dough!

I've got Ben Hur playing on the Turner Classic channel right now. Can't help but make comparisons on how history is just repeating itself with those in power being mean and cruel to others. God must be so proud.

I was trying to remember why this week in March had some significance in my life. Now I remember. Forty years ago my marriage fell apart this week.  Man!  I was a young 38 then.  Time marches on.
