Went to a funeral yesterday

I went to a graveside service at the Chimacum Cemetery yesterday. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and thankfully, they had a handful of chairs available. Unfortunately, after I sat down and sunk, I realized getting up was going to be a challenge. And it was. I needed help and still managed to pull a muscle in my gut straining hoping I could manage on my own. Hate it when that happens.

Afterwards we had a reception at the boy scout house. I was curious to see how it looked inside. It was a bit of climb for me to get up to the steps and then more of a climb to do the very steep stairs. But oh well, this is my life now. Everything is a struggle. Some of the pics I took....

I was going to drive out to Port Ludlow this afternoon for the memorial get together for my friend, Carolyn Lopeman but I woke up with a terribly sore knee and hip. Not sure why unless it was the hiking around I did yesterday.  I popped a few ibuprofens and decided I'd probably better lie low today.

I've been finding myself getting bored now and then even though I have several hobbies going at once. I haven't been sewing, however, and I guess I kind of missed it so I spent a good hour looking for a quilt square pattern that would make a neat table runner.  It was time consuming just marking and cutting the variouis pieces so I'll try to pull out the machine tomorrow to see about the sewing.

I'm a big fan of watching Youtube on my tv at night. If you want to listen to something pretty interesting (it's only 12 minutes) search for Martha Atkins (Ted talks) out of San Antonio on the subject "more to dying than meets the eye",

Monday I see a local podiatrist. Not really expecting much but would like to know why my feet have neuropathy (even though one ass of a doctor I went to said I didn't have it) and if there's anything I can do that I'm not doing.

This blasted blog is annoying the hell out of me today. Every line I type is way down low and I can't get it go stay up where I can see what I'm typing, Anyhow, my Tuesday activity is to hit the research center out on the airport cutoff so I can go through old Leaders and find out about this picture I have from 1960. No one seems to know what the occasion was.

Friday is physical therapy and Saturday is another memorial at the Elks Club. (Lynda Westall Spindor) Am getting my flu shot and covid booster on Tuesday and thankfully, that will just be downstairs.

I'm still working on the book about Robert Mitchum. It's made me want to see all of his old movies. I did find a spot on Amazon where I can watch them for free so I'll have to see if there's a way I can hook my computer to my tv and watch on the television instead. I think I have a cord that will allow me to do that. Have to go look for it now and experiment.

Here's the boy scout house.

I just remembered that I had some more pictures I needed to sort, delete, and label on my  hard drive. I guess I'd better get going on that too.
