Oh Good Lord! The things I decide I have to do! Will I never learn to just let things go? Nope. Probably not. And I've got to try and remember to always start these posts with a bigger font than what blogger has reset. My eyes can't see as well as they used to.
Anyhow, it's 11 a.m. and I've been busy. On my butt busy but still busy. As I slowly started to research trying to find photos of people that I'm including in my obit book, I discovered that I had a lot of pictures in Facebook albums I had forgot about. Not that many I can use in my book but still a ton of pictures to go through. And delete. Well, not completely delete. I've started with the albums and worked on them quite a while yesterday album by album, taking out every picture I wanted to keep and putting it in a special folder and THEN deleting the album. I worked and worked until I was too weary to go on. And damn if I don't still have dozens of albums to go. I think I have about 100 albums and that's not counting the pictures I just randomly posted over the years. Some are easy to decide to get rid of. I have a habit of posting lots of DUMB STUFF! I didn't think it was dumb at the time, of course, but it's dumb now. So far I've saved 150 of the pictures in the albums I've deleted and sent over 300 to the recycle bin. I do enjoy this whole process, though. I love seeing pictures I'd completely forgot about. And knowing me, I'm probably going to repost them now and again on FB. Cause it's what I do. Ha!
Michelle Gravett, a neighbor on this floor, is a great cook who shares meals with certain folks now and again. And lucky me. I'm one of them. Yesterday she brought me a hot plate of pork chop, gravy, rice, and peas. Can you believe it?! It was only a little after 2 and I usually put her meals in the fridge to nuke later in the evening. The smell got to me, though, and I dug in and ate two bites before storing yesterday. So good! And today she's bringing me STEAK! I never buy steak. She makes to die for desserts too and homemade rolls. I love her!
My MRI on Tuesday was a piece of cake. I stressed for nothing. I had taken a chill pill before hand but it was really old and I suspect didn't have much oomph left in it as I didn't feel anything. My brother took me and picked me up as they don't want you to drive if you've taken a pill. I also took my walker as I figured I was going to have to walk the long long hallway down to imaging. Well, I only had to walk half the distance and when I saw the tube, I realized it was more open than the last MRI tube I was wheeled into years ago. I knew right away I was going to feel fine. I still had them put a cloth over my eyes, however, and that helps a lot. Only took 20 minutes;not the 40 I was originally told so I called up my brother and said "come get me!"
This coming Thursday I'll drive to the pain clinic in Silverdale with the CD of my MRI so the doctor there can decide if injections might help my low back. The MRI report on MY CHART said Multilevel lumbar spondylosisf and broad-based disk bulge with facet hypertrophy.
Which means absolutely nothing to me but it sure doesn't sound all that great. Barb Shaw is going to ride with me and I'll drive this time as it's time for me to get over my fear of that traffic in Silverdale. Most people probably wouldn't think Silverdale was city traffic but it's picked up significantly since the days of when I would run to the mall.
Got two funerals to attend in Nov. Dave Brooling at the Catholic Church on the 5th and Elaine Arey at her family home on Cherry the following Saturday. At least I'll get to see some cousins. The 14th will have me getting a mammogram and bone density. Been 2016 since I've had a density test and a good two or three years since a mammogram.
Today I plan to work on my book a bit. Have around 193 people to put in my obit roundup although I may take out one or two. Still working on the final list. Set up another 500 pic puzzle last night so I'll play with that and watch a little golf later on today.
Been watching the Acorn channel on my roku device and am hooked on The Time of our Lives. Some of the people on it, however, are starting to get on my nerves so I may move on once I finish the second season.
Well, gotta head to the kitchen and set out my daily vitamin intake and drink that orange metamucil crap! I'm not sure if I already posted this video or not but I do love watching Haka so here you go. Found one of Prince Harry performing too but all they showed was his face and I would have preferred seeing the whole group.
