I had to drive to a doctor appt in Silverdale this afternoon. Gonna go back the day before Thanksgiving to get an injection in my back. Only have to go as far as Poulsbo for that one but I will need a driver. I had to be there by 2:40 today for a 3 o'clock appt. Since you can't always depend on the bridge being open, I left at 1. Wasn't real sure where the place was but used my GPS lady on my phone and got there very easily.....and very early. Sigh.... I have another followup after the shot in December but I told the doctor that driving in Silverdale stresses me out so he's letting me do it virtually. Yay! Judi Robbins was nice enough to ride with me. We always have a lot of laughs together.
The weather turned dark, windy, and wet for the ride home. Was so happy to get back into Port Townsend. Stopped at QFC to pick up my antibiotic as the dentist I went to at 8:30 this morning said my tooth/gum pain during the night is probably a sinus infection as the x-rays didn't show any teeth issues. So I'll be taking fhose for the next five days. Very thankful it wasn't going to be a big ole dentist bill but it still cost me $200 for xrays. This isn't the first time I've headed to the dentist only to be told it's sinus related.
Only bad thing about the trip was the asshole driver I encountered. I always seem to be in their way. This one was tailgating me on the highway before you turn off to Beaver Valley Road. The pavement was wet but I was still keeping it at 50 mph, the speed limit. He not only tailgated me very close but the guy behind him was tailgating him. When I turned, my tailgater got real close as he went around me and the guy behind him laid on his horn, rolled down his window and shook his fist at me! What is wrong with people? I could see their anger if I was going 35 or even 40 but I was doing the speed limit for crying out loud!
I got home and couldn't get into my jammies quick enough. My tooth/gum area is still sensitive but not real painful and at least I know now that it's not a dental issue. I'm staying home tomorrow and looking forward to it with a passion.
Sue Edwards brought me four jigsaw puzzles this morning and they all look like a lot of fun.Was very happy to get them. My sister got good news today. She was worried that her mouth problem was cancer but the dentist said no. She also got word from her doctor that her heart is okay and she was worried about that.
I'm working (very happily) on my book. Still looking for some pictures I want but at least the writing part has begun. This is going to be so much fun.
Mary Norton came to visit yesterday and brought me a bag of material so I set up my sewing machine again and will work on projects in between my book work. Also keep thinking I need to paint up a few rocks as my supply is getting low. One thing at a time, though.
Have the news on now and am thinking I really need to hit the mute button. Nothing but sadness. And evil people.
My weekly free food came today and a large bag of apples was in it. My neighbor gave me a box of prepaid pie dough she wasn't using so guess I'll bake up a pie tomorrow and share with the neighbors.
Here's a picture I took of Mary Norton and of Mary GAboury and Dave at their granddaughter's wedding.
Also, a cute thing I saw on Facebook...
