It's early. 7:53 a.m. as I sit here having my morning coffee and thinking about what I hope to accomplish today. It won't be much. I did finish a jigsaw puzzle yesterday (one piece missing but I don't care) so all I have on my list today is to edit my book and work on sewing. Also might start painting some rocks.
I've got my wig on as some mornings I look in the mirror and my bald head just PISSES ME OFF! But I might as well learn to live with it. I do envy people who have lots of hair. I also envy people who can go for daily walks. I'm having an easier time walking since my injection five days ago but the pain isn't completely gone. I struggled last night in bed trying to roll over. Another thing I'm afraid I'm just going to have to learn to live with. Still, I am very thankful the pain is lessened.
I've decided I've got to make a stronger attempt at sitting down to read a book and not watch television. I've got several on my bookshelf that I've been wanting to get into but end up turning to the boob tube instead. After last night, I think I'm getting closer to watching a whole lot less. I've been tuning in to 1923 on the Paramount+ channel (Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren) and while it's very good, I think I'm tiring of it. Too many commercials and last night they said the next episode wouldn't be until February. But more than that, the violence is disturbing. Everyone is way too evil in this show and I've decided I'm not watching anymore. I've also been watching The Good Fight on that channel. Was loving every minute of it and then.....well, now I'm not that excited. Too many evil people again and I'm not in the mood. That often happens with me. I get gungho on a show and then my interest goes out the window.
My book (Knockin' on Heavens Door) is close to being sent to the printer. I have a couple more pictures to add and I have to go back and carefully reread the whole thing for typos. I have over 40 orders and am thinking I might order 60. It's only 106 pages or so and will be paperback. I'd like to have color pictures but that shoots the price way up so I'll have to settle for black and white. I just hope I can remember how to submit the book for publication. I've done it a couple times now so you'd think that wouldn't be an issue but I'm still going to have to study it out.
I've got Pandora music playing on the tv right now via my roku device. When I get up in the morning, I browse about four news stations and once I realize they're all talking about the same thing they talked about the day before and the commercials start in (they're relentless) I turn off the stations and find my music. I get more done with the music on anyhow.
One computer chore I intend to work on this week is to try and get my documents in order. I have a very bad habit of trying to clean things up and then I have so many files in so many places, I can't find anything. I've got to stop doing that.
Here's a picture of granddaughter Maddie getting sworn in to the air force. So proud of her.
My other granddaughter stopped in Saturday afternoon and helped me with various problems I was having with my computer and camera. And here's a couple of pictures of Barbara Shaw feeding the ducks out near a pond behind Goodwill.
