So happy with my new bed

Mary took me bed shopping yesterday and today the movers brought it in. I can hardly wait to go to bed tonight. My biggest joy is having more room in the bedroom now so I can rearrange, unpack, and settle in.

I'm having to use some ingenuity to find spots for everything. That chest on the bottom is full of blankets mostly and the black thing on top of it is two drawers which hold socks and pjs. The top thing is something I had in my bathroom at Disco View but there wasn't room in my bathroom here so it sits in the bedroom. I'm in and out of it all the time and probably should go through it to discard a few items. Like outdated covid tests. The closet on the right is large and Andy installed shelves and such so I can hang clothes. Eventually, I will put all my t-shirts on hangers as I have those hangers that hang down and let you put six or seven hangers on one hanger.
Mary lent me that little white cupboard in the back. So far I've just put some CDs in there so I could free up space elsewhere. Eventually I will probably move a whole bunch of stuff as I go along.
This large black cupboard on the right is Mary's and it has a ton of space for storage. I've also got xmas decorations up on top.

We went to Target and I picked up a kitchen clock for $5 as the little digital one I have in here I can't see well enough.

That little table was my sewing table but now it holds all my little appliances and lets me store a lot of things underneath.

We went to Best Buy in Portland and picked me up a phone. My other one died completely. I had to buy a cover and breakage thingie and that little stop cost me $643 or somewhere around there. But I had it and heaven knows I needed a phone. Mary, who is very techie smart, fixed it all up for me so I'm ready to go.

I made a dentist appt for July 24th to see what's going on with my gums or tooth on the bottom right. It doesn't hurt all the time (thank God!) but it comes and goes with a dull ache so I know it's going to cost me sooner or later.

This Sat. Mary and Andy (with Jake) are going to a party in Bremerton and will be spending the night. Me and Poppy will hold down the fort. Next Tues. Mary and Andy are going to a comedy club in Portland so Jake and I will stay home together that night.

I'm looking forward to the Clark County Fair the first week of August. Mary said she might get me a wheel chair so I can relax and get a chance to see everything. I could just use my walker but it tires me out pretty fast. I have found that I can walk around with my walking stick a heck of a lot better than with my cane. Not sure why.

Mary and Andy are off putting their queen size bed in their storage unit right now. Borrowed a trailer from a neighbor. I so appreciate everything they're doing for me. Andy fixed up the shower nozzle this morning with an extension so now I can stand in the shower and reach the nozzle. It was too high for me before. He also installed a grab bar across from the toilet so I get on and off their low toilet easier. We had picked me up one of those handicap toilets you put on top of the regular toilet but it was way too uncomfortable for me.

It's supposed to get up to 93 tomorrow and Saturday. I'll be staying in. I don't do the heat that well.

So I think I'm all settled in with everything I need now. I'll take my time going through all my stuff to see what I want to continue to keep and what I need to work on...like my genealogy notebooks and all my pictures.

I think I'll work on some postcards now. I've been trying to send out a few everyday. I've been watching my hummingbird feeder for over a week now and they still haven't found me. I'm getting discouraged.
