I sure had a bad few days over Labor Day weekend. The flu. Sneezing hard, coughing, earaches, headaches and general body aches. So miserable. I'm better now although my ears are still kinda plugged up. I'm always so happy when bouts of illness pass. Isn't everybody? Ha!
I went to the library at 9 a.m.. Picked up two novels by Joyce Carol Oates and some books on acrylic painting and quilting. I bought a new pair of shoes last week. $180 but I knew the ones I'd been wearing were badly in need of replacement. I also bought an insert but I had Mary return it two days later because my right foot just couldn't tolerate it. And it cost $86! I didn't ask the price when she inserted it in my shoe but had misgivings when I got home and found my foot was so sore. Just as well too as I had to fill up my car and that cost $56. Whew!
I'm still trying new things in my right shoe. I have several inserts and other pads but so far nothing much is helping. I've got a piece of bubble wrap in there now. I'm fine if I stay off my feet but who can live a life like that.
My library which is six miles from me. I still use my maps app on my phone although I think I could probably find this on my own. Just too nervous.Mary and Andy are going to visit friends in Seattle this weekend and Jake is going to Catie's so it will just be me and the dog. I've set up my sewing machine and will probably work on that a bit. Hoping to just sit and read too.
This darn blog. Keeps changing the font size on me.
The schools are still on strike so Mary isn't working and Jake isn't learning. Andy took Jake to the car races in Portland a few days back.
Well, I think I'll go through my pictures now as I wanted to send reprints of old ones to certain folks.
