My Monday Morning

Gees! Can't believe it's going on noon already. On the other hand, I have been getting an awful lot of little chores done and off my to-do list. Decided it was time to thin out a few things in the garage (and the house) so I made a quick drop to Goodwill of about 3 dozen movies.  Course then I went in the front door to pick up four more.  I've still got a pretty nice collection going and I find it's more relaxing to sew with an old movie playing sometimes than it is to try and find something on Netflix or Amazon.

I did start watching a show on Amazon last night, however, that was pretty good. I thin it has one or two more episodes. Called 'Kings in Grass Castles'. About a  family that leaves Ireland during the famine and makes their way to Australia.

I've got my laptop set up at the kitchen table right now as I need to study youtube videos (again) on various techniques you can try to wrap wire around stones and beach glass.  Practice makes perfect.   The sewing machine has gotten a lot of use these past days as I continue to study youtube videos on quilt pieces.  I've also got a jigsaw puzzle set up in the living room so I guess I'm more or less nesting for the winter.

Here's some photos I took today and last Friday....
Sue giving the lawn (if you can call it that) one last trim for the season. Love my pretty red maple tree
This is the street I drive up to head home. My house is 2nd from the last on the left.
Saw these deer on a nearby street. Originally stopped to take a shot of the pretty tree but then saw the deer walking through too.
The houses being built across the street by 8 families. The ones on this end aren't as far along as those further up.
Met the gang at the casino for lunch on Friday for Linda's birthday.  Ruth and her caregiver, Renee, came late and sat at a different table.

this photo was taken by the woman who did the twins' graduation picdtures. Each shows the interests that they have right now.  Maddie was recently accepted at CWU.
And here's my cute cousin, Cindy Renner, who was recently widowed.

I've already started thinking about my Christmas gift list this year.  I plan on making quite a few things and of course, I'll fall back on gift cards for several family members.  So much easier that way.

Two people have told me that they have antennas on their roof and get the basic channels just fine.  I need to look into that as I thought antennas became obsolete. I googled it but wasn't real sure what they were telling me.  It said:

Connect your antenna coaxial cable to the “Antenna In” jack on the back of your digital tuner box. Use a second coaxial cable to connect the “Out to TV” on the digital tuner box to the “Antenna In” on the back of the TV. Set the TV to Channel 3 or 4 as indicated on the back of your digital tuning device.
I think I need to figure out exactly what a digital tuner box is.

Well, guess I'll cut this short as nothing much is going on that comes to mind.  Have a happy Halloween.
