Obit errors

Doesn't anybody know how to do their job anymore? More than once I've been disappointed in the quality of the newspaper in this town.
Several things really but I won't go into them all.  I'll just discuss the one that has me really ticked off right now.

Wayne and his sister worked diligently on the 4-page form I printed off for them at the newspaper website.  They also wrote up a couple pages of info they wanted included in their dad's obit.

I looked at the forms and the papers beforehand and it was VERY NEAT and legible.
Wayne took it down to their office to talk to the woman in obits and explain everything they wanted.  He went back later to pay for it (Not cheap either!)  I think he said it was $276. Outrageous. Anyhow, as Wayne and his sister looked over the obit that was scheduled to run tomorrow, they found error after error.  Now the obit is being put back a day -- and will appear one day before the funeral.

Said Ed was born in Buttermilk WI instead of Butternut.  Said Jenni's name was Jerri. Misspelled the preacher's name and while they spelled Ed's last name correctly the first time, the rest of the obit it was switched to Daugherty instead of Dougherty.
There were a couple of other errors too.  And the lady laughed at Buttermilk.  I doubt the rest of the family would find it amusing.

I find it disgusting that they charge that much and then aren't careful with correct info -- even when all the work is done for them beforehand.    Somebody down there is not doing their job.  I can understand a typo now and then but four or more?   Not acceptable.

I noticed a few days ago that Clarence Lammers obit listed his name correctly EXCEPT in the headline where they called him Hammers.  I'd bet money that plenty of people have had complaints about their accuracy issues.
