That's one of my favorite lines from a favorite movie....I'm walkin' here! ha ha
It's 2:45 and I've been "at it" since 9:30 this morning. Time to rest. Here's the most interesting thing that happened to me today. I was sitting at the kitchen table and kept hearing this rat? in the wall right behind me. Or was he on the outside wall? I kicked the wall and even got my camera out to record the next time he started gnawing or whatever the hell he was doing! This is how ding dong nuts I've become. After a bit as I sat and watched the wall, I saw an empty box near by and realized the noise might be coming from INSIDE THAT! Oh no, I squealed and threw the box on the deck and grabbed my walking stick next to the door so I could poke at the box and scare the varmit away. I carefully opened up the top and it CARDBOARD with some tape attached squeaked as it rubbed against another part of the CARDBOARD! Damn it! I hate it when inanimate objects scare me.
I worked steadily in the garage this morning moving stuff around for the yard sale area and the storage unit area. Eventually I found myself walking funny (funnier than I usually stumble along) and my back decided she had had enough of me pushing and lifting heavy boxes around. Happy with my progress, though.
I was on a roll until my energy level sagged but I did manage to get the utility room cleaned out today too. There were a few shelves over the washer and dryer and a few shelves in a side cabinet. One of the things in there was my two tool boxes in these two carriers.
Both were filthy and full of tools I've never used. I took out what I thought I needed and this is my toolbox now.
I've never thought of myself as a hoarder but I definitely have way more "things" around here than is necessary. Like five flashlights. Clothes pins (and I don't have a clothes line). 3 ironing board covers.
2 shower curtains. 3 brooms. 6 mops. 3 jigsaw puzzles mounted (but not framed pretty). 6 rolls of masking tape...oh I could go on and on.
Tomorrow I'm going to clean out this bench on my deck that is full of pots, garden tools, hummingbird feeders, and all kinds of things THAT I DON'T NEED. Garbage pickup is Friday so it's especially necessary that I get that bench cleaned out now. I'm giving it back to Jenni (who gifted it to me) and am hoping Wayne and Hunter will cart it away this week if I have it empty
I just noticed my old wheelbarrow sitting out there too. It's got plastic wheels and one of them is trying real hard to come off. It can't be reattached so I'm wondering if anyone will want it if I say it's free. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Yesterday afternoon (while kicking back to relax) I realized I was missing golf ..again. On impulse, I ordered youtubetv. Later on that night as I surfed all the channels, I realized THERE WAS NOTHING MUCH OF INTEREST on any of the channels. So, this morning I cancelled. Still have to pay for the month ($55 with tax) but that's too much if you have to search and search that much. Even if I was to sign up for the golf channel only, it's up to $50 now. Nope. Not doing that on social security.
Well, I think I'll email the PA paper and place a free ad for the book cases I thought for sure would be snapped up by this time. Am fasting today because I've been nibbling like a bunny all week long.
