Taking a rest

I think I may have overdid it a little today.  Not a lot of lifting but a lot of exercise nonetheless.  Even making boxes up from being flat was not a piece of cake. Hard to bend that hard cardboard into submission.  I had three things I hoped to finish today but I have to be more realistic with my goals and remember my age.  Once I find myself walking bent over and real slow I know I've pushed it a tad too much.

I suspect part of my lack of energy is because of the sleep I didn't get last night. Damn toe, ankle, and foot cramps.  This morning it even traveled up to the inside of my thigh and if you haven't had a cramp there, then you haven't experienced real agony.  Miserable and I think why they've returned after being gone for months and months is the change in my b/p medicine. My doctor put me on 1-1/2 of this one pill and it made my legs and ankles swell and gave me red rashes. She cut that back to 1/2 a pill and upped the other b/p medication to two pills a day instead of just the one I've been taking for years.

I decided to take my b/p this morning. Hadn't done it for weeks because the cuff always said it was higher than I really was. I say this because my readings at the doctor's office are okay but at home, the numbers go way up.  Shouldn't have bought that cuff in the first place.  Anyhow, it was 161/91 and that's high for me. Especially that bottom number. I'm usually in the 70s or 80s.  Annoying. Well, enough about me. Now more about me.  ha ha

I fasted yesterday but screwed up around 7 pm when I had a cup of cocoa and a piece of banana bread. Also ate half a banana a couple hours before that.  My thinking was I wanted to avoid night cramps so opted to get some potassium in my system. A lot of good that did!  Oh well, the scale was down a couple pounds.

I managed to get the bench on the patio cleaned out and THE KITCHEN!  Which is why I'm so dang tired I think.  It's amazing how many lids, jars, glasses, utensils, and just plain junk can end up in your kitchen drawers.  I got them downsized super good and that was satisfying. If no one wants any of it, I'll take to Serenity House after the sale.  I got rid of a lot of pans (total junk but somebody could use them for camping) and I managed to thin out the dishes too.  I got most things boxed up but was too worn out to carry them to the garage so they're sitting in the utility room as I wait for Wayne and Hunter to come over and I can whine and carry on for them to cart them to the garage.

Hunter bought all my Coca Cola memorabilia and I sold three PT posters I had, as well.

My car will be loaded up Sunday morning when I drive to town. I figure I have about 9 stops altogether. Two of the people buying things are meeting me at Ruth's to save me some running around time.  Baby shower is at 1 so I figure I'll be back on the road home by 3 or 4. And I'll be wiped out. I already expect that.

Tomorrow I'm cleaning out four shelves in the hallway closet. Most all of it is kitchen stuff. Tupperware, crock pot, lids, small appliances, etc.  It'll probably take me under an hour and then....well, I think my cleaning out is done.  For the most part anyhow.  I'll have things to look for out in the yard and the garage, etc. but all the rooms in the house are down to what I plan to keep.
It'll be two weeks tomorrow since I got on the apartment house waiting list.  My hope is that I'll be in before Christmas but I'm prepared to wait until next summer if it comes to that. Fingers crossed.

I put an ad in the P.A. paper for my two book cases. Only asking $15 a piece so I'm surprised no one has picked them up yet. Maybe the paper will be more successful than the free website I've been using.  A friend bought all my Elvis memorabilia.   I'm taking him to the Egg and I Road on Sunday to be dropped off.   Goodbye Elvis!  I love you!

I'm going to post my two Wizard of Oz dolls on the Clallam County Buy and sell website today.  Love those dolls.  Jenni won them at one of those booths at Traylor's when she worked there that had hooks for you to try and pick up stuffed animals and dolls.  One year she put her wicked witch on her Xmas tree as a joke. Maddie went to school and shared that her mom decorated their tree with a witch so Jenni decided she'd better take it down. ha ha
I'm asking $5 a piece but I've seen them listed for more on ebay.  Saw this cartoon in the paper this morning and it hit a cord with me when I was trying to decide what to do with various boxes in the garage that are full of cords and wires.

And last but not least, here's some pictures of my Gig Harbor cousins. Cindy's daughter, Mirinda, holding Collins, and the twins, Pearl and Jon, kids of Cindy's son, Tyler.
