Monday Work

Oh man!  I decided I was going to empty this large flower pot that I left too long. I'll have to buy new dirt for it next.  Sue bought it for me years ago and planted pretty flowers in it. Over time, Joyce let it go to pot. Sigh....   What a job that was.  I took out my shower chair to sit down and raked, weeded, pulled, tugged, and hoed that sucker for well over a half hour.  By the time I got it empty, I was filthy and wet so I had to come in and change clothes, shoes and socks.  Gave the flowers a sprinkling while I was out there and now I'm back at the computer where I belong.

Just put half a dozen tea bags on to make some iced tea for this afternoon/evening.  The fast is going okay although I am going to have a banana at supper time to maybe protect me from night cramps. I had one at 4:45 this morning in my foot/toes and it was a doozy.  I was hollaring to beat the band. I think I'll take potassium and magnesium at night time instead of the morning to see if it helps. I haven't been bothered with foot/ankle cramps in a long time and I DO NOT want them to return. Makes me unhappy.  Probably being caused by the two blood pressure pills I'm taking instead of just one.  I take another half pill of another type as well.  My readings have been halfway decent the last few times.

I'm sitting here with an iced coffee right now and admiring the flowers I bought at Home Depot. Only bought one small bunch. Jenni decided to go into Sequim after all so I rode along.  We also went to Grocery Outlet a few doors down to pick up a few items. Traffic was crummy.
Here's the dirty project I just finished .....  I knew it was going to be hard but I didn't realize it would be that much work.

I paid bills and balanced the checkbook early this morning. Always happy when that job is done and out of the way. My Amazon bill was double what it usually is because they tacked on the annual fee for having Prime. Oh well....

Got a (used paperback) in the mail this morning from thriftbooks.com  where Catie works.  "Eleanor Rigby" by Douglas Coupland.

Well, I think I'll head to the sewing room now and see if I can't keep myself occupied for two or three hours.  Looking forward to watching Season 3 of Alone later tonight.
