Tomorrow Dave and Mary take off for their annual trip back to Yuma for the winter months. Mary and I were a little sad knowing that our visiting until next May will be via cell phone and letters. We were both glad, however, that my relocation to Port Townsend last March enabled us to spend more time together these past months.
We drove here and there -- Fort Worden, down Water Street, up Lawrence, and up to Morgan Hill, and any place we felt like exploring. stopped at The Printery to get Mike McAndrew's book "Face of Port Townsend" but the kid working couldn't find it anywhere. I took a picture of the Rec Center and Aldrich's before we climbed back in the car.
And here's how they looked in earlier times.
We stopped at Don's Pharmacy but they didn't have what I was looking for (pest strips) so I took a couple pictures from the parking lot. Already had the camera around my neck and decided I needed to take something. That's my white car on the left.
From there we drove to Penny Saver to pick up our sandwiches for lunch. Decided to eat at Point Hudson beach and the view was too pretty to not get out of the car and take some shots.
From here we drove to Chetzemoka Park (the back entrance). Next time I go to the park, I'm going to use this entrance as it's closer to the grounds. I took a picture of some houses being renovated across the street and another of the Old Golden Agers Building, now vacant from the looks of it.
From here we drove to Fort Worden. Lots of people out and about. I drove down to the lighthouse and discovered you can park there and be much closer to the beach as there's a trail going right over towards it. I didn't take any dock or beach shots but we did go behind the Officers Quarters and I took one of Mary in the alley. (you can click on these to see close up)
From Facebook, here's some recent ones Mary posted:

And here's a pretty one my friend, Patti-Evjen Bryan posted of Zion Nat'l Park in Utah
