Saturday Morning Drive around town

I ran down to Don's Pharmacy early as I needed a glue stick for the photo greeting card project I'm starting. I'm using a dab of Elmer's in each corner of the picture but decided I wanted to identify the photo by putting a small description on the back of the card. Don't like my penmanship  so intend to use a pretty font and glue the strip of paper onto the back of the card. As I was checking out, the clerk asked me if I wanted to donate the two pennies of change to the cup by the register. Nope. I need every penny I can get my hands on these days.  Then I walked out the door and found a penny on the sidewalk.  Find a penny, pick it up; all day long you'll have good luck.

As I was driving home, I saw another new home being built on the hill behind Safeway. A big one of course! Three stories so they can have a water view. I rode around that neighborhood (on 12th) to see if I could get a better shot but wasn't that successful.

I went home to get my camera as I didn't think the cell phone was going to be giving me the pictures I wanted.  After I went to that much trouble, I decided to drive around and get some more shots before the rains started and the traffic got heavier.

I got out of the car to get a shot of the road going towards town and another of the hardware store.

Down at the Penny Saver intersection, I was stopped for a light so took one of the courthouse. How can you not when she's right there in your face?

I stopped  to visit Joan Buhler and saw this bird nest across the street from her yard.
As we sat on her enclosed patio area, a big ole buck stomped  by following a doe. Pretty soon they came running back in the opposite direction. I think he was wanting to make a baby and she wasn't in the mood.
Drove by my Aunt Elva's house as I headed home and had to stop and take a picture of the backyard which showed a staircase going to the upstairs. Such a HUGE difference from the house I visited throughout my childhood and early adult life.

My last picture was this bright turquoise house I always notice as I head up the hill behind Safeway on my way home.  So colorful!
Well, time to get busy on my cards. My sister-in-law, Lill, is coming by in a few minutes to use my sewing machine so I'm going to do some pattern cutting out here on the table once I get tired of card making. Sun is shining and I've  got the window open and golf playing on the tv.
