Sunday Morning

Doing odd jobs today. Right now I'm watching the old guys play golf and keeping an eye on the birds that are flitting back and forth through the tree leaves and visiting the feeder. Also saw a squirrel across the courtyard who was eating something up a tree.  I took over a dozen pictures but nothing turned out.  Birds (not just the hummingbirds) are definitely showing a lot of activity. I wonder if it's the rain or the changing of the seasons.

It's 12:30 and I've been up for six hours.  It's been another delightful IBS start to my day so it's just as well that I'm not doing much out and about.  Such a miserable condition. I read this article on the Peoples Pharmacy page last week about all the drugs they suspect that could contribute to dementia, Alzheimers, and several other symptoms. It was a mile long! I cut and pasted just part of it here. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to single space on this blog when you copy something. Irritates me.

I cleaned my kitchen sink with homemade drain cleaner again. (you can google it) and I charged my camera battery, put away summer pants and got out sweats, deleted files and pictures on my laptop, got out a couple of "nap blankets" and rearranged my kitchen counters (again). Decided the stand I had the microwave sitting on wasn't sturdy enough to suit me so it's back where it was. I spend a lot of time organizing my space and reorganizing it yet again.

Yesterday I went through the material that Pam Camfield sent me and I trimmed a big pile of 4x4 squares for my next baby blanket. Or two. She really had some terrific designs.

I began work on my all occasion greeting cards yesterday. It was kind of fun. I glued mostly PT pictures on the cards and typed up descriptions to glue on the back. I'll continue to work on that today if I feel better.

The dinner menu tonight reads: cranberry salad, roasted turkey, stuffing, asparagus, and pumpkin cookies.
I've had the living room window open all morning but I think I'm starting to cool down now so I guess I'll close it and maybe even take a short nap. Will watch the Seahawks at 5:30 and maybe head back to the Crackle channel later on tonight to see if I can find a movie that satisfies.

Got a call from Mary Gaboury yesterday. She said the temps have been running around 103. Ugh!
Cute things I saw on Facebook today....
