It's noon straight up and I've been working steadily all morning. Unfortunately, my feet and hips are both unhappy about it. I ran to Safeway at 9:30 and the elevator repairman was just showing up so I had to use the stairs. I can do stairs but I have to do one step at a time both going up and down. Discouraging and I need to get some practice in and not having to navigate that way. Easy for me to talk about but I'm usually all talk when it comes to my plans for exercising. We don't need to go there today.
I stripped the bed and put on new sheets. What a struggle. I had to sit down a couple times because my back was killing me. They need to make beds waist high so you can lower them to climb in to sleep but keep them higher for putting new linen on. I decided one of the "under the bed bins" wasn't being put to good enough use so I emptied out the lounging bottoms and pjs and threw them in another large bin with my sweatpants. Are you bored yet? haha Next I went to the closet and removed all the silly polyester suits and other clothes that I will probably never wear again but you never know. I could lose weight sooner or later. Sometimes I kept clothes just in case I needed to go to a funeral. Now we can't go to funerals and you don't need to dress up anyhow as everyone wears pants. Took me a while to figure that out, though.
I got a roll of quarters at Safeway and came home to wash a load of laundry. I give my clothes a chance to get really dirty before I toss them in the wash. Costs too much to run the washer and dryer and who cares if I have a shirt on with stains anyway? No one.
I put away (then gave away) my latest puzzle I was working on because it was a cheapie and everytime you barely touched it, it fell apart. Don't have the patience for that. I think I'll put off starting another puzzle until I finish two more crumb quilt bags. If I get too many things going at once, I get stalled.
I finished watching this movie on Prime last night called Jasper Mall. It was about this mall in Alabama who was losing its tenants and it followed various people who worked or played there. Sounds boring but actually, it was very interesting.
I was going to boil up some homemade egg noodles I made yesterday but I think I'll put it off until this weekend since I can store them in the refrigerator.
John O'Brien (classmate from high school) dropped in yesterday and we drove around town.
A FB friend told me they are replacing windows and siding at the Officer's Row houses at Fort Worden. John was surprised at how many people were camping down on the beach.
