It's 3 pm and dinner should arrive in an hour or maybe an hour and a half. Sloppy Joes today and tater tots. As I recall, their sloppy joes weren't anything to write home about. Yesterday I was really disgusted with their dinner. Said turkey meat loaf with mashed potatoes but it didn't look like any meat loaf I've ever seen. Basically stringy leftover turkey pieces mixed in gravy and served on the potatoes. Sometimes their meals are pretty good; other times I feel like it's prison chow.
I took a two hour nap in my recliner from noon to 2. I wonder if it was that allergy pill I took or if I was just plain tired. Probably a little of both. I feel better now so I'm hoping I'll make it until at least 10 tonight. Started a new jigsaw puzzle of birds and flowers and painted another rock for a lady down the hall. She's a caregiver I've become friends with and she wanted one big enough to hold down a paper outside. She was going to go hunt for a rock but I told her I had a whole box of them already painted white in my closet. I ended up painting her a city block of buildings.
I got out my watercolor paints and think I'll take a stab at painting a picture tomorrow. Most likely, I'll just end up making a mess but it's fun to make messes sometimes.
A new lady down the hall gave me a lotto ticket today. Just because. Of course I'll keep it separate from my own ticket so if it hits, I can share the money with her. I doubt that'll happen, though. I haven't been that lucky with lotto tickets in years. But I keep on buying them!
I've been sewing crumb quilt pieces together for a week or so and it can get pretty boring after a while. Still...I do like using up all the tiny little scraps and eventually you reach the point where you have enough where you can make something. I only sew them maybe an hour or so a day and then I quit. Today I pressed the pieces I'd accumulated and cut them into 6" squares. I have 30 squares so far and will make 6 more tomorrow. That will give me enough for two bags.
At night I've been doing another Disney character cross stitch. Daisy Duck this time. I just love the design of these cartoon designs. I'm making them into Christmas tree ornaments.
