It's been a week since I posted on my blog but then I haven't really done much to write about. This afternoon, though, Mary Gaboury and I are heading to the Elks Club for the PTHS alumni social hour. I'll be taking pictures and posting on FB and then on my blog later too. Not sure how many will attend as covid still lingers as a scary issue for many folks.
My activities this week have pretty much centered on my usual pastimes -- sewing, jigsaw puzzles, reading, TV, and napping. I'm reading a book called "The Boys" by Ron and Clint Howard but I just ordered two more from thriftbooks.com. Both are books I've read before and enjoyed but ended up giving away somewhere along the road. I've had a few books I've wished I'd kept and I put a notice on FB that I was looking for them unsuccessfully. (I'm not willing to pay big bucks) Anyhow, my daughter has one of the books and is going to give it to me (Roots) and my granddaughter has another (Clan of the Cave Bear) I'm still looking for The Godfather. The two coming from thriftbooks are 'Be true to your school' by Bob Greene and 'One more time' by Carol Burnett.
I'm heading over to Papa Murphy's in a couple of hours to pick up a pizza to cook after Mary and I get back from alumni. We're not staying for the banquet or dance. I have a couple bottles of beer to drink with the pizza so that will be our own little party. We might head over to Hwy 20 Roadhouse later as Mary says they're having a band. We'll see. I talk big but more often than not, I'm too tired to follow through.
Daughter Mary got her staples removed from her brain surgery and said she's feeling much better. Her and her girl friends are scheduled to go to Vegas June 23 to see Shania Twain. I personally would prefer she stay home but nobody listens to me. Here's some before and after pictures of their new patio covering that was under construction when Jenni and I were there.
Her gal friends surprised her last week by taking a train to Vancouver to celebrate her birthday. She was in the hospital at the time as her eye was giving her problems but she eventually to released with some eye drops and returned home. They all had a nice visit before Andy drove them back to the train station.

And three from Facebook......
You tube continues to be my favorite place to settle until bedtime. I've always been interested in anything having to do with the British queen and there a lot of interesting videos lately. I'm also a fan of yard work and tree removal. This one is 39 minutes but I watched from start to finish and loved it!
