Surfing on Ebay

I used to go to Ebay every now and again to look for Port Townsend stuff. Mainly curious to see what was out there. I haven't done it in years but today I happened to think of it again so I took a trip with my mouse. Was kind of fun.  A whole lot of the memorabilia for sale was way overpriced. Lots of postcards that people wanted anywhere from $5 to $50 for.  Several items I've already got in my own PT collections and a lot of the pictures are in my book 'Walkin' on Water'.  Several things were spelled wrong or labeled incorrectly too. One shot of the library was listed as a school.

I found several old PTHS yearbooks. 1950 & 1951 were going for $76.  1959 and 1961 were $86. There was a WAWA newsletter (PT yearbook) of 1912. They wanted $15. I wouldn't have minded having that.

One envelope dated 1896 had an asking price of $25. It was addressed to David E. Brown at 316 Taylor.

A Hilltop Tavern matchbook was only $3.99. It read: C.A. Verrier PH 776. The seller lived in New Zealand.

Other interesting things included these below:

I found this matchbook especially interesting as I guess I had forgotten (if I even knew in the first place) that it was once a motel.  I vaguely remember that but mainly I knew it as Lagoon Nursing Home.
Matchbook from Four Corners Store. Used to be Bay  Area Grocery. The seller lives in New Hampshire
Always love to see pictures of the library
I'd never seen this photo before. It was 1923

                                             Waterfall at Chetzemoka Park
Grandstand in Port Townsend. Might be the fairgrounds I'm not real sure

I'd seen this photo before. My old house on San Juan is pictured in the background. Says it's 1949 but I don't that's correct.

This last one is Sheriff Bob Hanson I'm pretty sure. It was listed as "sheriff questions teenager". I'm betting he was a fort kid who tried running off. They did that now and again. I don't really recognize him.
