A Football kind of day

I'm not an avid football fan but I do enjoy watching it on TV and of course, if the Seahawks are doing well, it's hard not to get caught up in the enthusiasm.  Two games are on the docket today and it will decide who goes to the Super Bowl.  I think I'm rooting for Denver and Arizona, but for no other reason than because they're in the west.

Later tonight I'll tune in to Downton Abbey and I may check out the Alaska people on the Discovery Channel too.  I get a kick out of watching those folks.  Last night I watched a movie on Netflix called 'Uncle John'.  The lead character looked familiar so I had to look him up on IMDB.  It was the cop on Beverly Hill Cop with Eddie Murphy.  Interesting plot line.

The rooftops outside my window all look white so the temperatures are continuing to dip as January plows along.  I sure am thankful I don't live in the south or east where they're dealing with horrible snow blizzards.  I would hate having to deal with that. Especially losing your electricity and having to deal with a cold house.  Ugh!

I'm still dealing with some kind of problem on my butt or the top of my leg.  I can at least sit at the computer now and for that, I am thankful.  Need a pillow but that's doable.  Such an odd place and pain to be suffering from -- especially when you can't see a bruise (if that's what it is) or feel a lump (if that's what it is).  I suppose it will pass with time but I'd sure like to know what caused it and what it is.  Oh well, this too shall pass as they say.  At least it had better pass!

I finished my Days of the Week wall hanging with Sunbonnet Sue yesterday.  I think I'm going to try more applique projects as it was fun.

Can't think of much to yak about this early Sunday morning so guess I'll cut this short and get busy in the back room.
