It's recommended that you do them in the morning so as soon as I finish this blog, it's off to the bedroom. When I first started doing these (I think in 2009 or 2010) I was able to get down on the floor and get up again. Most of the exercises are done on the floor but they're easy exercises. No bending and grunting and trying to touch your toes. You basically lay on the floor and put your knees on a box or high pillow for a half hour. Others require you to sit against a wall with your legs stretched in front of you. Simple maneuvers, but time consuming as you need to do these anywhere from 6 to 30 minutes.
I've been looking over my living room area and wondering if I was to get down there, what would be my chances of getting up again? I could probably do it but it would be hard and I'm more than a tad nervous about the whole thing. My solution is to use my bed until I'm stronger. It's probably firm enough to do the trick and I can sit against the wall as I don't have a headboard. Maybe not the most ideal but at least it's a start and heaven knows I have got to get my joints moving again. I don't even stretch like you're supposed to on a daily basis. No wonder my body is rebelling. If I'm still hurting in two weeks, then I'll visit my doctor and see what else can be done.
I finished a puff or biscuit quilt yesterday. It's only 24"x 24" so I'm not entirely sure what it's good for. Maybe a back cushion on a wood deck chair? For now, I've tacked it up on the wall but it's comin' down soon. I've turned my corner of the kitchen into a craft area again. My sticks and stones are on the card table and a jigsaw puzzle is set up on the table. Crossword puzzles are nearby too.
Can't think of much to yak about today. Sue and Paul are coming over on Mother's Day for dinner. I owed them one for Paul's birthday last month. She's gonna pull weeds for me and plant some bulbs. I've invited their friend, Tucker again too. He lives down the street.
Two "nice people pictures for today....
Hungarians bring shoes to Budapest train station for
arriving migrants
dad gets tattoo so his 6 yr old daughter doesn’t feel
different
Three pictures I saw on Facebook that I liked....
I won't make this but I did think it was clever
Last time I was in Walmart, I picked up supplies to try and do some waterpainting. There are videos on Youtube to show you how. I've never really had much talent in art but I know my mother painted now and then and I would like to reproduce the view I have of the Kuhn Street house I lived in as a kid.
And Happy Birthday today to my pal, Mary Norton.
Well, I'd best get this over with. Time to start a new regime.
