Starting my Week

Nothing much on the agenda this week outside of a physical therapy appointment Thursday morning. I plan on "crafting" for the most part.  As I sit here and look around I am noticing a tad of dust here and there that I probably should attend to.  Hmmmm...and I see a bird pooped on my window. Always makes me wonder how they manage that but I suppose if I could fly, I could probably poop on the run.  ha ha  Yeah, I know...clean things up Joyce!

One hard thing for me having the dog here is that I'm always conscious that she's here. Meaning I wake up to pee during the night and I wonder "does Maggie need to pee?"  I don't even bother anymore; just throw myself back under the covers. She wouldn't go if I begged her to. Apparently, she's not an outside dog.  Funny, cause she's got so much hair, it can't be a "I'm cold thing." Every morning I open the sliding glass door thinking surely she needs to go out.  She stands there looking at me with this hang dog look of 'please don't make me.'  Today I put a leash on her (she actually seemed to perk up to the idea of a walk) and made some movement toward the door.  Course I hadn't even had coffee yet and wasn't planning on a walk; I just wanted to get her out on the grass.

Once there, she realizes we're not going for a walk and she heads back to the porch.  Thankfully, I remembered to close the door so she can't get back in.  I return inside and leave her out figuring she has to go sooner or later.  A half hour passes and she continues to sit looking through the window at me.  I give in and open the door and she immediately heads to the room she thinks I'm going to be sitting in.  She follows me from room to room so I know she's a people dog but still....why doesn't she pee?  She certainly drinks enough water.

I intend to take her for a walk down the alley this morning. She'll like that.  Otherwise, about the only thing I'm gonna do out there today is water.  Back to my computer to amuse myself.  Got a few things to scan so I'll have to boot up my old computer.  Get a better picture with my older scanner.

Watched the final episode of 'Call the Midwife' for this season.  It was another tear jerker.  Tried watching Wallander following but it was too slow moving and putting me to sleep so I surfed around on Amazon Prime adding movies to my queue and looking a couple over.  Guess I was too tired to get interested in anything so I headed to bed at 10 and was out like a light. Got up at 6 because my dreams were unsettling.  Stupid dreams. Just when I think they can't get any weirder, they do!

Visited the woman next door yesterday as I wanted to see how she's been painting her rocks.  I'll have to go on facebook and retrieve some to show you. Be right back...

She got some of her ideas on Pinterest so I'm going there too. I also got a tip on what pens to use along with brushes and paint. Also lacquer to spray on afterwards and pencil erasers for small round spots.

Here's the beach she goes to to get flowers. I'm hoping to get Hunter or Wayne to take me there. Or  maybe Joyce Lee. She likes to go places. It's about 30 miles down the road on the other side of Joyce at a place called Twin Rivers Road.

She's very talented. They have this small rowboat that she had planted flowers in at her last place and now she's opted for goldfish. Her husband says he's done this before and they'll be fine even through winter.  So clever.

See that little red barn in the background? He made that and it houses four laying chickens.  She has the neatest things around her yard. I should have taken my camera with me.  Her landlord lives in California now.  Nice couple that lived here when I moved in. He's in the coast guard and flies helicopters. She posted a picture on her facebook page of them in California.

My granddaughter sent me a picture of a cooking class she went to with the people she works with at Zillow in Seattle.  She had a great time.

And here's a copy of her business card. She sells her stuff at her Etsy website.
Well, time to take the dog out.
