It's 3:30 p.m. and I guess I'll pass on taking a nap today. Too late in the afternoon. I got up earlier than I really wanted to as I like to watch the CBS Sunday Show. Should have passed on it today. They gave entirely too much air time to the windbag. I ended up turning it off.
I got a few odds and ends done but nothing to get excited about. Wrote a long letter, prepared a package for mailing back to Amazon, researched more genealogy notes and cut and pasted various things I want to check up on. Copied off census reports of Ramsey Illinois where a lot of the Blankenships lived. Going to track a friend of my great grandmothers to see if I can connect with someone in their family who might have photos. Their name is Neeley or Neely.
Set out the sprinkler for a half hour and watered other plants in the front and back. Posted a super short video on facebook of Hunter starting up his truck. I had gone over to see how the party went and took a picture of what was left of the cake. Got to bring home and man, was it good! The candles actually glowed like a lamp.
Was sorting through pictures and filing some away (intend to stay on top of that activity) and found one from 20th St. in Port Townsend that I took a year ago. Amazed me how mother nature had changed the whole look of the street. I posted that it was 25 years apart but Jenni reminded me it was actually 35 years. Hard to believe it's the same scene.
I've got theWilbury's playing on my CD player right now. Sitting here chair dancing to Bob Dylan. You'd enjoy it. ha ha
I cut up an old calendar that I had Costco make up in 2009 using pictures I had in my collection. Way too cool to waste so I made them all into postcards and I intend to send out as birthday greetings or hello, how are ya?
Neighbors have been busy most of the day. Think he went crabbing with friends. She was waxing the pickup and vacuuming it out. Yesterday, she did another vehicle. It's fun to watch them work. Never a boring minute. And yep, they have 4 vehicles and two boats. Three boats really. They've got a neat little rowboat in the backyard full of goldfish. Near their chicken house he built. Their gardens are blooming and their flowers are beautiful. I follow her on Facebook.
Talked to my cousin, Linda, in Louisville today. She quit smoking 18 days ago. So proud of her. Here's a picture of her daughter, Holly, visiting Nashville.
Mary called and said she was on the way to take Brandon (Catie's boyfriend) down to Burien to pick up Catie's car that had been stolen and found. She couldn't go because she's working a craft booth in Renton. Apparently it was undamaged although I think Mary said they took the tape deck.
Jake is talking all the time now. Complete sentences. He had such a good time camping that going back to daycare now is a tad stressful. Cries and says Nooooo...Camping! They took him to an outing in Snoqualmie to ride the ThomasTrain.
Mary posted a picture on her FB page of a birthday gathering they had in Bainbridge a few days ago for Tami Hewitt. Mary walked on the ferry in downtown Seattle, had lunch, and then went back to work.

While filing photos away, I took out half a dozen PT shots that I thought I would try to water color. Ha ha Such high expectations of myself. Who am I kidding? I'm going to give it a whirl, though; and even if I don't paint the scenes, maybe I can draw them.
Once I retire to my recliner at night (and watch HBO that I'm lovin'!) I work on my latest knitting project. Probably going to be a baby blanket.
Tomorrow I think I'll head into the sewing room. Been talking about heading that way for days but haven't actually made it yet. It'll be fun once I get started. And that's about it for my Sunday. Going to throw a couple pieces of chicken in the oven to bake for supper. Maybe mash some potatoes too.
Hear it's going to be hot later this week. I'm already not in the mood. Ha!
