Monday

Well, the day started out okay, I guess. I still haven't made it back to the sewing room but there's always tomorrow.  I ran four quick errands early and managed to get them all done without much traffic.  Really prefer the mornings for running around.  Hit the Dollar Tree and Walmart to pick up various items I needed and stopped by the office supply store to print off my genealogy report.

After lunch I sat down at the table on the deck to clean up nine solar yard lights that only  have about two working.  Was dreading it because I knew there'd be spider nests inside and there was.  I replaced all the batteries and cleaned things up so I'll be anxious to see if they start working again.  I sprayed some of my homemade weed killer out on the horsehair on the curb as I noticed the first spray killed a lot of it. Now I have to get out there and see if I can get my back to cooperate so I can bend down and pull out the nasty stuff.

Watched an episode of Season 2 of Game of Thrones last night but found it really difficult to follow. The scenes themselves are very dark and it's hard to see what's going on.  Harder more to keep track of who is who and what the story line is.  Tried watching another episode this afternoon and still had problems.  I may give up on it although it's sure gotten a ton of Emmys over the years.

Saw a couple of cute painted rocks on Facebook so I'm tempted to pull my paints out again and get busy.

I also saw this picture taken at a woman's funeral.  The caption said:
Yesterday we laid to rest an amazing and loving woman. My grandma was an avid quilter. This was our tribute to her at her funeral and it was quite breath taking. All of these were made by her.

My cousin on my mom's side of the family (Gail Sutherland who I have yet to meet) sent me this old newspaper article on her dad, Jim Nisbet.

And that's about all I got today.  Probably won't blog tomorrow but Wednesday should be more interesting.
